Just £595 (minus weigh in fees) makes your Renault 5 go faster.

^Tee hee!

Talkin' of Volvos - anybody want a 7-seat tow car? This 240 scores high on the important blueness-of-velour-per-dollar ratio.

Having seen one of these on an episode of The New Avengers the other night I really fancy one, and being the exact same shade of brown as the Mk1 Audi 80 I had only increases the want, but are they really worth £5.5k?

'glitter pink Rolls Roycer'

It'd probably be less embarrassing to have Gary Glitter outside your house. But by-the-by, I reckon these limo owners are missing a trick here that they could copy out of Max Power: the addition of a shopping list down the front doors would make this THE ultimate housing estate passion wagon. Instead of having 'NOS' 'Kenwood' 'Sparco' and 'Peco' you could put 'White Lightning' 'KY Jelly' 'Durex' and 'Disco Biscuits' on it.

^^ Already stuck that on the BARGAINZZ thread - horrific, isn't it?

All Minis should look like this, not some shitbox with a chequered roof and a 'Mini Owners Never Do It They're Too Busy Breaking Down' sticker in the back window.

I dare say if some spazzed up, rattle canned bag of wank with a stolen Allegro engine is worth £3,000 then this (in Mini terms) is actually quite good value. The chrome side trim looks wrong though, were they fitted to Minis of this age?

Posted

I think the side trims were a desperate attempt to jazz the little Minis up a bit. Management didn't agree with Issigonis and his super-shite approach to detailing (ie don't bother!).

I reaally like the colour on this one, I can't quite work out what it is though...

Got to love sellers putting in "Was running perfect until laid up 10 years ago" - for me the levels of reassurance offered by this declines dramatically as the sentence progresses.

Looks from that angle like it might be Lynx Bronze. A superb colour. My dad had a Monty estate in that shade. I remember the excitement of going on holiday to Devon and spotting another the same colour! Very rare.

Wow. I quite like that Merc, though it appears to have the luggage capacity of a crisp packet. I note they don't mention that it was once a hearse. Shame as there's a gap in the market there I reckon. Open air hearses. Because it doesn't really matter if the coffin gets rained on.
