I bet that's a fine thing to drive... Nice to see a rev counter on a Diesel car of this age, normally manufacturers deleted it and put an ill fitting clock in the place of it...

The temperature gauge only works some times

When the air locks get pushed out of the way by the eggcup full of coolant that's left in the system, no doubt?

Pretty sure it's j-j's car.

Back in 1988 you could buy a Golf GTi that would do 0-60 in 8.1 seconds. At the same time you could also buy a Volvo 740 estate which would do it in 7.7

This is a 760 rather than 740 which means it's fully loaded with aircon and usually an auto gearbox, but this one has a manual which makes it very quick out of the blocks, let's be fair there aren't many 7 seat estate cars that'll accelerate that quickly even today.

Having owned a 740 (non turbo) almost exactly like this one, I'm sorely tempted. The heated leather seats have almost Jaguar levels of comfort, it's got heated mirrors that actually work and I'm pretty sure it's still got an overdrive gearbox for that nice thunk when you change without the clutch.

This could be a hoot, it's been relisted though which perhaps means the previous bidder didn't go for it.

Is that mould on the steering wheel? :(

WOULD.

Can you even buy a regular estate car with 7 seats now?

^^ Dacia Logan, not sure if it's hit these shores though yet.

I don't think non-forward facing seats are allowed anymore, hence why Defenders can no longer have their fun sideways bench seats in the back.

I think I've just agreed to buy this:
