Not too bad. :)

The BMW 1600 on the other hand he is selling is knackered...

That boat engined e30 is total fucking madness. It's kind of hard to figure out what exactly his end game was (other than trying to cross the channel) by sticking that lump in there. Do you recon it's still got 50/50 weight distribution?

I reckon the weight distribution is now 150/50

That Mk1 Granada looks stunning and it's on my door step, I don't remember seeing it before though, all it needs is some pressed metal plates to finish it off.

Wowzers that's an early one. I'm sure it will make a nice COMPLETE FUCKING NIGHTMARE for someone.

Hey anyone remember that character off here who bought a Renner 20 for like 2 grand then never actually got his hands on it? He was scammed by a renner 20-loving crim type.

Posted

you know a car has been well looked after when they cut the weeds around in a decorative fashion :D

Posted

Oh yeah, I remember that. Can't recall if he got the car or his cash back but IIRC there was talk of sending Luigi and the boys around.

Thanks for posting that, makes mine look bloody expensive! :(

Cash offers considered, especially in Sterling; shipping to UK can be included... (where it will be tax-free, being a May 1972 car, older than the yellow PC example!)

PLEASE SOMEONE BUY MY GRANADA!!

(borrowed, I know, but thanks; and EFA.)

Yours is bloody expensive!

It's nice, but I just couldn't imagine paying huge money for a Mk1 Granada that isn't a 3.0 Ghia or S.

Baz or RENOMAD?

A couple of BX's...

1990 BX GTi. Price is a bit steep though. I'd like to see some close-up shots of the rear door shuts.

Yeh that was Baz. Don't think he ever saw the car or his cash back.

On the subject of dishonest Renault sellers check out this shitbox -

This camper is in great condition inside and out we took it to Wales but it didn’t make it back

Its located near our unit, one of the sometime motor traders who frequent the yard was telling me the lad selling it actually bought it having been told it just needed a new battery. Its actually got a seized engine. The never made it back from Wales bit may not be 100% accurante.

i am improving the body work as wespeak the odd dot rust here and there a full sand and primer

Bonnet has been sanded and primered in the dusty yard enviroment on Sunday. Obviously no expense was incurred on masking anything and the grille and headlights got partially done as well. Bodywork has major sponsorship from Isopon as well.

I may just wait until Greece leaves the euro and buy it for £200 or something.

Nice looking mot'd Renner 18 for 600 notes.

Hmmm. That looks like Chris Salter's (he's just sold the XM behind it). He'd only just got that 18 - as seen in the Ebay thread. Mind you, he did also buy that baby blue Maxi a while back, so perhaps he's just run out of space!

That seems a lot for that camper....

GXL is as good as a Ghia. Different instruments though.

GXL was the top of the range until that funny thing with the oversized grille barged into the parade. How many times do you hear someone say he's looking for a V6 Granada with an automatic gearbox? Never. Everybody says they want a manual. I've got one, and I don't want it. It's also one of the oldest survivors, and qualifes for free road tax in Blighty. Give me money. Give me enough and I'll cover the shipping to UK too.

Why not save up for another week until the whole damn Eurozone thing falls apart ;) ??? [/tongue in cheek]

ANYWAY...

One thing the purveyor of the Ledberger Maestro forgot to mention was the Van gearbox (comedy low ratios with bleeding ears on the motorway), plus the comedy insurance quotes because it counts as a "kit car" (a friend of mine found insuring his Ledbury to be prohibitively costly compared to insuring any other Maestro or Montego 1.3 or 1.6, although for someone in their 30s or older this wouldn't be an issue I am sure!).

Oh, that's two  .

In reality, they're a very useful car to have around - but I'd change the 'box for a Montego 5 speeder as the 1.3 deffo punches above its weight in a Montego 1.3 base with a 5 speed 'box :D !

Be interesting to see what that Maestro goes for... £400 start seems a bit salty, but then I'm a tightwad  ...

Mutha_Claim taught me to drive in a 1.3 Montego and it never felt underpowered.

Lovely Cadillac STS with taxi meter and pikey NI plate already added. Pure class.

the ABS light is on but i have had it tested & it could be a faulty connection, hose or abs pump

Wow that was a fucking good test, its really been able to pinpoint the exact fault and help you to get it sorted. NOT.

Posted

I like the way it doesn't have an MOT, but it "passed on everything else" except the ABS.
