On the subject of VAG shite, here's a b**n f**d Mk1 Pisshat (which may in fact be a Santana).  Cheap at the minute.

Mk2 Passat saloons were always Santanas ISTR. All with the 2l 5cyl for the UK. Shame about the Happy Shopper roof hole but it's a good colour. But what a useless listing.

EFA. Edit: beaten to it!

I thought Powerflow and Magnex were two separate exhaust manufacturers.

Perhaps he has different ones for each day of the week? Maybe keeps the Magnex for 'special' weekends of shiny pipestroking?

It's a length of rusty drainpipe blu-tacked to the floor pan.

fancy yourself as Dean Winchester? maybe you would rather be Sam instead?

in that case, you will need some wheels.

£25k, but if i had the cash, i certainly would.

33 years ago, my then 17 year old girlfriend was given £300 to buy a car to learn to drive in, by her Grandma.

Obviously with my expert influence she bought a black 1967 Impala Hardtop with a 283 bellowing like a big block through Cherry Bombs. We both worked in Central London and the summer of '85 was ( in my rose tinted memory) non-stop cruising around in the sunshine - all the windows down and 4 across both benches, partying ,drinking, sh...., well you get the picture. There's a badly deteriorating Polaroid of the Impala with L plates on somewhere , if I can bear to expose my mullet and cap t-shirt, I'll dig it out.

Anyway, it's her 50th next month. Do you think a £25k re-mortgage is sensible in the current economic climate?

any scratches or dents were repaired at the time of its mot

So why have you then decided to park it in a bush?

It's a 1.4 petrol

The MOT is due for renewal on 28/01/2017 and it is being sold having failed for 2 reasons as follows:
1) The rear subframe needs welding and bushes need replacing.
2) The exhaust emissions are excessive.

I bloody hate these things, they could scrap every last one afaIc.

Could be alright?

It has been a reliable vehicle over the years and reason for sale is due to a failed MOT on the following:

  • Fuel pump leak
  • Minor welding

  •

  • Reason(s) for failure
Fuel system component leaking Pump (7.2.3)
nearside front Suspension spring mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded Wheel arch (2.4.A.3)
offside front Suspension spring mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded Wheel arch (2.4.A.3)
nearside front Seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded Sill (5.2.6)
    Speedometer cannot be illuminated. (6.7.3)

It used to mildly irritate me when people put those 'traditional' Rover grilles on series 1 800s, but this just looks utter shit.....which is a pity as it otherwise it seems pretty smart (which it should be for the price!)

...or there's this. The seller believes it may be a one off, so it would be a real shame if this didn't go to a loving home, obviously.

...it would be really sad if something happened to it, maybe involving a cliff
