eBay tat volume 3.

Anyone want an ex-police Minor? I've kind of fallen in love with the idea of restoring it to police livery but it's in East Anglia and I'm... not. I have no idea what they are actually asking as the eBay starting price is £1,000 but it's up on Gumtree for the same amount. I don't think it's worth much more though.

Do you with to be both "JDM YO!" and a "Scene Prick"...

s-l1600.jpg

Well I have just the car for you...

A JDM imported Mk5 Golf GTi with DSG box.

ONLY DONE AROUND 70000 OR 90000 MILES GENUINE THE CLOCK IS SAYING 136000

I've no answers to such brilliance...

I've no idea how much Mk5 GTi's go for these days, or why you'd bother importing one from Japan. But WHY!

So it's a super-special JDM import, yet they only have one photo, showing precisely none of the things that make it so special? Brilliant. Utterly genius.

It's apparently in Slough and is yours for £1850!

I'm not sure how many miles its done? Seller states SEVEN times it has done 5,400 miles.

So whats this 7,400 they talk of?

This is the perfect Bentley for me:  gorgeous colour, chocolate brown interior, clean but not too shiny, early Turbo, nothing alarming in the MOT history, pretty sensible money.

Great consolation prize for someone who's just had a disappointingly fruitless car buying trip to France, don't you think?  Just sayin'.

Yeah, that looks just like Slough.

Base spec mini one with 90bhp engine and original mini trims.  Looks a nice one too.

In a parallel Universe, the one where the might of the Bavarian Marketing Weasels invasion force never got as far as Cowley or Longbridge. This is what all Minis would look like, they'd be driven by little old ladies and people would gently ridicule anyone that bought one, they'd not have changed at all in 16 years either, although the Riley Elf would have lovely leather seats from the still current 600, it was after all the saviour of the British Motor Industry.

The gold turbo is nice and needs to be bought by someone on here. I don't want to be the only one suffering :)

I'm quite tempted actually. Anybody want to buy a shiny 1975 Vauxhall Victor off me?

That does look pretty good value if it is as nice as it appears. If it was a grand cheaper I would be on my way to pick it up. I doubt it will hang about long I expect it is the colour putting people off it would look better with a lighter colour interior. Someone buy it

That Bentley interior is a thing of wonder.

Also the blokes shirt, last picture reflecting of the B pillar chrome :)

I would only buy the Bentley if the shirt was included in the deal.

Had thoughts (it does happen occassionally!) about the turbo: they apparently suffer with carb problems and the carb is specific and VASTLY expensive so if that old girl runs properly that is a bonus and is worth good coin! But there is a thread running on the Aussie forum about replacements (one of the members has one with problems) and Holley do a decent carb for cheap that works on these old girls and there's also a version of that carb with fuel injection still for less than 1/4 of the 'proper' carb!

To be honest, if it's a good car, it's cheap. Very cheap and deserves snaffling sharpish. Trade the Vauxhall in, I'm sure they'd be up for a deal, after all, who in their right mind wants a fucking old Bentley?

Apart from us lot obviously :)

The seller is, from the feedback, a part time dealer, so he might take a PX on the Victor, but he seems to have been selling recentish Japanese stuff and Rollers, so perhaps not his bag.

This is Lord Stokes' old motor, allegedly.  My dad, a BL man (industrial engineering), thought that Lord Stokes was a knob.  Michael Edwardes, whom my dad admired, drove an SD1 Estate.

Come on then who bought the Bentley as it is now showing as sold. The prices of these things seem to be rising pretty quickly. My spirit I bought for 2250 and sold for 4750 after I had spent about a grand on it. I should of kept it really.
