going down 10% on the aspect ratio isnt going to make a huge lot of difference. Anyway he says he's put a diesel gearbox in so the gearing will be all over the shop anyway!

I know of a totally standard 306 GTi6 that has sat in a garage untouched for about 7 years now. The owner didn't want to part with it when he got a Brand new Civic Type R, instead he stuck it in his dad's garage and left it there since. I occasionally prod as to the availability of the car but the owner is sentimentally attached, might have another prod soon though just to see if they've changed their mind.

Interestingly, the ad says that this is one of two UK-based 'ground cruising recreational vehicles'.  Does anyone else remember the silver one that lived at the bottom of the Edgware Road in Cricklewood during the 80s, right near the place that dealt in ex-army Can Am Bombardier motorbikes that always had olive drab Sherpa vans parked out front?   I used to stop and gawp at that when passing through town in my brown and beige Fiesta Sandpiper.

As winter approaches now is the time to buy an off-roader before the inevitable pre-OMGSNOKAOS rush. And what better offroader could you find than a jacked up Mercedes saloon of ancient provenance coupled to a license-built Peugeot Indenor engine (sadly fitted with something that looks remarkably like a Lucas fuel pump)? OK, with just 89bhp to pull over two tonnes it probably won't be a rocketship unless you're more used to piloting mobility scooters, but it gives onlookers longer to admire you as you drive past.
