40,000ish miles and out of MoT it's barely been used.  Needs rear trailing arm bushes (they all do that, sir) which are cheap and easy to get from Rimmers.  Currently at a bargainous £50 first bid.  Could be a bonny little thing with minimal effort.

These were knocked down kits sent to Bulgaria IIRC in the 90s, but even they didn't want Austin Maestros, so somebody reimported them and built them up in the UK. Sold for £5000 each to old gimmers.

Never knew that. That could indeed somehow explain the 2000(V) Maestro round my way that I could never understand.

Also I-ROC ZED doesn't sound as good as I ROC ZEE and I refused to pronounce Z that way under any circumstances,
