Nice induction mod there, pull air in through a restrictive filter positioned behind a hot rad and beside a hot exhaust fanny mould as far away as possible from the carburettor through a ribbed pipe which has collapsed due to a tight radius

I've been looking for a fourth gen Cosmo for over a year and have only seen 2 others for sale, one was vastly overpriced and I just missed the out on the other one. I saw this for sale months ago and I didn't bid on it then as it's missing a few bits I am sure are made from pure unobtainium. Parts are still missing, including engine, but I think that's probably the easiest bit to find.

That CX is indeed a thing of beauty. I am puzzled though by the 4 page report referred to in the listing, specifying work carried out by Roger Bradford. I could well be wrong but I didn't think Roger did the "hands-on" stuff when it came to repairs?

I'm affraid the Senator doesn't look anything too spectacular to me;not exactly low milage,and the back end shot doesn't do it any real favors with smeary looking bumpers.To someone who wants a Senator,it is probably the one to aim for

This is on the blue, if you want a big, boxy diesel, this is exactly the one. Manual with overdrive, turbo diesel, pre-engine management.

They were made for one of the Spanish islands I think. It must be a bit of a shock for it transferring to Scotland. Failed Edinburgh Tours idea? "Ach. It's fuckin' freezin'! Nae doors? Yer daft in the heed mon." Other Scottish stereotypes are available.

 

As for the CX, I think Roger did basic tinkering and a little bodywork (of the filler and spray type having decided not to buy a BX estate he was selling). Not convinced a Prestige is the one to have. It's a big bloomin' thing! Might as well have a shite-spec estate. Or perhaps that's just me...

Scottish Motor Services always have some beautiful cars. I used to walk past it every day - E-types, DB4, Esprit etc.
