The Scout does not appear to have strayed far from where the kits were made (Merthyr Tydfil), In many ways a better bet than a real Moke as I'm pretty sure the shells were galvanised. I'm convinced the real Moke was built as an exercise in how to build a car out of mostly flat steel, but with as many water traps as possible, to guarantee that it would rot itself to pieces.

Posting that Stomachaker was unfair. Very, very unfair.

Sorry. I wanted everyone to share a little bit of my pain.

Probably actually okay as a petrol other than looking a bit fugly

That Fiat Vignale thing looks flippin ace, I probably would give £4500 for that if I had that kind of money (I never have and most likely never will)

Weapons grade bellend. But I like their car.

He seems harmless enough to me, at least he's not bigging himself up and saying how HILARIOUS the car is etc.

I think they're better but still have some electrical gremlins.

I could buy that today, get it licensed this week and be earning money with it for less money than the engine rebuild on my BMW is going to cost .

To most punters it's a big black estate car and they'd never know the difference, and it's only 6 months older and done half the miles of the BM.

Cam chain broken. Apparently the 3.0 diesels have got an upper and lower chain with the pump in between. It looks as if mine has snapped the lowere one, not totally shagged, possibly a couple of valves and new chains ,plus lots of labour!!

Could be worse, or at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Get rid of the nasty alloys and daft steering wheel and this could be quite a nice sleeper.  With the manual 'box and the way these things are geared, I reckon you'd see 150 on the clock if you kept your foot in for long enough.  Which should surprise some A3 TDI drivers.
