Just looked up for info this on google - there's a farcebook message from the son of the guy who did the roof chop in the 1960's - sent him a link to the ebay page as he is desperate to buy it back. Hope that some good comes out of it.

Not yet, no, but if everyone keeps away it might stay at a level I can bid on.  I'm one of those sad bastards who will watch quietly until the last day, or even hour, then bid as little as possible.  If it hasn't already gone over budget of course.  This thing is exactly what I want.

In the 504 ad they say brakes are sticking, but when we had one at work the handbrake defeated all the electricians, it was too complicated for them to work out so they drove about with it on.

Very cheap would-be-a-stack-light-if-it-had-lights Merc in Scotlandshire.  I've decided that Wigan isn't actually too far to go with a trailer and have luzzed a bid in on that A35, but Renfrewshire is pushing it a bit.  Shame, I've always wanted one of these and this is one of very few that are within my budget.

^^^^ I'm likeing that line up of borderline frag-feed in the back ground behind the 'Testarossa'

Nobody bid, pretty please, that's mine!

Fingers crossed for you!

The interiors lovely still, and from what you can see in the pics it was white originally. Hopefully the black paint will power wash off, or at least strip back fairly easily. Assuming of course the matt black bothers you?! Personally I'd try to get it off.

Theres about a dozen different people who have looked at that Testesrosa and actually bid on it . This amazes me.

SWALLOWTAIL

$_12.JPG

suffered from an engine fire many years ago

the original 1100cc engine and gearbox have long been removed and scrapped as were fire damaged

The engine bay will require bead blasting (because of fire damage)

bonnet has twisted in the fire

I have lots of engine bay parts radiator etc etc to replace the parts that were fire damaged

I imported it from Berlin Germany in 2009 as is (fire damaged)

Number of pictures of front end: zero.

^ 220s are T-Series so less prone to OMGHGF. They make up for that by leaking oil from all possible orifices.

A 220 Turbo must be an utter riot.
