I always liked the looks of the very early mk.5s, even though they were legendarily shit

oh the shitty-ness of the reputation of one of these doesn't come close to how terrible they actually were.

even the xr3i version wasnt that great.

hopeless engines. gear trains and seats that had no support and an interior that had no redeeming features, with the exception of the the clock, it was an oval thing as i remember and quite pleasant looking.

I'd love to waste thousands and thousands of pounds on this and convince myself I'm in Hart to Hart

I only have look in the mirror to convince myself of the same...

That Fuego race car is amazing, if it was a a lot cheaper I'd buy it.

£600, MOT until June, it's GLT version so the sporty one with fuel injection ... Someone save it from the oval.

This looks pretty good value with almost a years MOT. Yes it is stripped out, but nothing that doesn't look reversible if you fancy putting it back to normal.

£1400 or best offer, oh and call me odd, but I think it looks quite good with the current ride height.

THE CAR IS 27 YEAR OLD AND STILL LOOKS LIKE IT CAME OF THE FORD PRODUCTION LINE BACK 1987

At what point does a Ford that came off the Ford production line suddenly look like something that did not come off a Ford production line?

Is this a thing?

Project hot rod car CUT AND SHUT Baja Back end Hot rod front end

She was Half Baja (rear end) and Half Beetle (front end) with a grove to look like a weld mark behind the door right across the car hence the cut and shut signs until I removed her front wings and applied the separate front head  lights .

Next stop is the scrapyard

NO, is the short answer.  It's almost double what I would expect to pay, and that would be for something I could drive home.

I'm becoming more and more convinced I've undervalued the Mercury by a huge margin, if the prices I'm seeing for scrap are the real market level.

Just buy a magazine inappropriately called "Classic Fords" and you'll see.
