dollywobbler
That BX would clean up quite nicely I suspect. 1.4 TU engine is a corker. They're ridiculously good fun! If a little low geared. One of the best colours ever on a BX.

Cavcraft
Indeed it is, and the seller (rightly) makes reference to that on the listing. Shep Shepherd
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1992-Ford-Sie ... 20cab646ce All this talk of Sierra's is making me horny for one again, check out the opition pack on this bad boy, Original fit Ford phone and CD player!, I used to perv over pictures of this set up in my Ford brochures as a lad. I really like the idea of owning this, especially as it's local to me, but I imagine that getting hold of the correct rear bumper would be a major hassle, even in south Essex

Cavcraft
Didn't know they ever made a diesel 4x4, that'll be interesting.. From the the Cockney Montego advert: 'Has reliable Perkins diesel engine often used in Land Rovers' Probably straight where that one is heading. Think this had a BIN of £1400 which seems pretty fair, but it could be a right money pit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271050090349? ... 1438.l2649
catsinthewelder
Possibly an easier plan than dropping a diesel into that bx14 would be buying the lowish miles 19na auto that is being sold in Ludlow. Same age and colour as that one, the spazmaticness being the obvious downside.
Mr_Bo11ox
I’m off to have a look at this tonight with the A-frame in the boot! Went to see this tonight, I liked it and was up for buying it but the ASSRAMMER selling it did not answer his mobile when i got there so there was no-one to do a deal with! What a waste of a fuggin evening, drove to Bedford for nowt. Its a pretty tidy FSO, needs some minor welding on the back ends of the sills but otherwise very smart, oh aye it has what look like brand new STOMILS on the back! cort16
I drove one of these 4x4 Turbo Octavia's when they first came out and though it was pretty great. It was well fancy at the time and it seems nuts you can get one for under a grand now.http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/skoda-octavia-18-4x4-turbo/110467640 £1195 seems cheap for the this 407. I've seen a few of a similiar vintage in the scrappies so I guess they're a potential time bomb?http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/2004-peugeot-407-se-hdi-1095-ono/110519005

cort16
I like that dark purple colour too, it looks pretty classy. I bet it can go a bit too (290bhp according to tinternet) although the gearboxes seem to shit themselves with alarming regularity if all the knackered ones on ebay are anything to go by.
