Wow.

What does this button do @vulgalour? (Bottom right)

As @colino says, it's the dash rheostat.  It allows you to choose dashboard illumation in the range from abysmal all the way to pathetic.  Fibreoptics are a neat touch though, I do like that bit of passive tech in the Princess dash.

Apologies if we've already had this very brown Montego.

That looks amazing but I'm really not into the wheels even if they're original. What would it need, plain steels? I don't know if BL ever did full wheel trims.

Clean body for its age - no major rust and the pain is amazing

Lovely. Really bonkers how many different ways Nissan (and Toyota) could provide ~200hp to your economic bubble enjoying Japanese punter. "Big v6, sir? How about a small one with Turbos? Or this Silvia with a 4 pot and a turbo?"

Presumably an expensive conversion when new?

It should have plastic wheeeeeeeeeltrims like these

BUT I've a funny feeling this era Montego had TD (metric) wheels and tyres, which may explain the cheese grater transplant.

Our resident BLARG perverts will know.

All Montegos (except the 1.3/1.6 base, where they were optional) came with metric rims until '87 or '88. New old stock metric tyres were a dodgy proposition twenty years ago, so must be all but impossible to source or use these days.

The correct wheels and trims for the HL should look like this;

Although it seems to have been sold, it's one to fully swerve with those twat stickers in the back window.
