The 1.2 12v engine is better, although wasn't in the 6K2 I don't think. Although the fuel economy is less, it's quite quick off the mark since it's not a big lazy lump, I'm only* 16 "seconds" compared to the 19 of the SDI. šŸ¤£

Well, the 6K2 had the 1.0! With its fiery 50hp. I think the SDI was actually fasterĀ

I had a W reg hatch (bought new), far better than you think, did well over 100k in it, really was sad to sell it, but the VRS version was quicker.

I almost got an Ibiza SDI! "Slowest Diesel Imaginable" is mostly an inside joke

those SDIs were bulletproof as far as I know, just like the old 1.9D

Rapid! That'll be the same 1.0 from the Lupo/Arosa in typical VAG fashion.

vRS is where it's at - it's nice, but the PD100 is...

Anyway, plenty bits for VAG fondling (fnarrrr) on my thread instead of us taking up the 'bay tat thread. šŸ˜†

Posted for amusement value from the ridiculous advert. Ignore the boring modern.Ā

Here is "Kiki the Ka" who was "adopted 2.5 years ago" (šŸ¤¦šŸ™„)Ā

I'm ledĀ to believe @barefootloves* the concept of naming cars and treating them as if they aren'tĀ inanimate, so enjoy!

Has a hole in the diesel tank which leaks if you brim it. Lovely, that's safe for bikers šŸ¤¦

And the front bumper seems to have had a very subtle* historical paint job

I won't even bother posting the link, can't imagine anyone will be interested in buying it!!

I used to know someone that named every car he owned usually by some obscureĀ  and meaningless combination of the plate letters.Ā

I love cars and truly believe some of them have inexplicable traits, good and bad, but I don't think I've ever named one.Ā

The Coleman-Milne ones all seem to be called Dorchester, they did all generations of Granada.
