@Austat

I like the estate. Not many of those left now. :(

It's a shame that only a few survive, I also like those ADO 16 Countrymans.

I think the one advertised is a Morris and they call them Travellers. ;)

Very nice , but a starting bid of £7500? I’m sure that’s more than a Bay or Transit, must the famous Rootes Scene Tax.

blame Steph from I drive a classic. She did a youtube video of one a while back

Probably told this story before but I bought an even more basic one of those back in 1994 on an "A" plate, 45 model, no headrests, one wing mirror job.

Bought it lightly damaged,my first ever bumpy. Needed a door repair and  a wing which was overall pretty easy, rear strut as well as it leaked oil.

All jobs done at my parents house and I decided it was a bit foosty inside so I put it in the garage with the door open to air on a gorgeous summer day.

Came home many hours later to my old man moaning that I'd damaged the garage door and he'd spent the last 2 hours slamming it shut....... Fucking idiot had closed it onto the open Uno bootlid and then spent the newsy 2 hrs slamming it until the bootlid was practically folded in half rather than simply opening the fucking door too see what was jamming it!!!

Yet another trip to the scrappy and after a decent wallet raping a tailgate was bought....... but I did at least manage to steal a shocker and hide it in my toolbox.

It's the 4.5 so has that engine knock many seem to suffer from, but the vendor suggests just turning the stereo up and ignoring it.

Oh.  It gets worse.

All that and boing-band drive - no bids yet, surprise surprise. I may try him with £69.73.

Very probably the best looking small trails type bike of that era. Or any.

One of the pictures when enlarged makes it look a bit shitty at the bottom edge of the tank, and it's very strong money, but what a fantastic thing. He mentions a deal with another bike, CBA travelling to try and see if there's a deal to be with my X7.

Why is it that all the cars I regret not buying get flipped straight away? That appeared numerous times on this thread over summer, on a previous but badly written ad at £250. In fairness though this latest owner has put a lot of effort into restoring it with those wheeltrims.
