The first one you posted 'for me' was being sold because 'to big for Devon lanes' guess where I live?

I do want one before I die (so soon then) but what's with the prices of anyting American? Even stuff that to me seems as appealing as syphilis on your wedding night is £8K. Is there no such thing as a Yank with a reasonable price tag?

Now, should you talk nicely to @eddyramrod, I may* be prepared to help in the shitely of getting it down to you. May cost you a few of your excellent coffees and you'll need to talk to the ever helpful* Torbay council about parking.

I think, apart from the Lancia Aurelia, no other ordinary family car in this class had all-round independent suspension in 1950

Is right-hand-drive, though, but column-change manual rather than the BVH 4-speed semi-automatic.

'AEC RELIANCE For restoration. Runs superbly engine really is in great condition, clutch and slave cylinders rebuilt so engages gear and drives, 5 speed manual. Chassis and running gear was all overhauled many years ago to a high standard. All outriggers rebuilt/ replaced. Bodywork obviously needs time spending on it however the photos make it look worse than it is. One rear screen missing otherwise pretty much complete. Front grille and lights in boot all seats inside. Ex Abbots coaches Blackpool'

£2,000

Just noticed it was running an 1172 engine when it was built, but it has the standard A7 back end. I really, really want to find out how people were mating an 1172 engine to an A7 rear end back in the day as it seemed really common, but apparently today 'it can't be done'... Any ideas, anyone?

There's a UJ at the end of the torque tube so frankensteining a fitting compatible with the ford gearbox doesn't strike me as impossible.

You fabricate a rear cover with oil seal for the Ford gearbox, then use a conventional drive flange and a short open prop shaft to the A7 torque tube joint.   And you lose the speedo drive in the process.  Why do you want to know?
