Another of those cars ruined (for me) by only existing as a floppy top.

That one quite clearly has a hard top fitted. You don't have to take it off, just pretend it's a coupe. I don't like convertibles either, but it wouldn't put me off the best looking American car of that decade (by a helluva long way)

I used to have one of these and I was  hurtling down the A7 from Edinburgh at night and hit a big pot hole mid corner, which knocked out the bolts/lollypop sticks I'd wedged into the popup head lamps to stop them collapsing and was plunged into total darkness. I narrowly avoided death then drove the remaining way with the hazard warning lights on. I can see, I can't see. I can see, I can't see all the way home.

Good times*

 

Would have another although this one looks fucked. ADDS TO WATCH LIST.

16v converted, that one. I also got Nissan's last pair of handbrake cables ten years ago so good luck finding any more.

Mine was the old 8v turbo. What a heap it was it would intermittently lose power at full throttle usually half way through an overtake.

 

I seem to remember the original 16 Silvia's had a big daft power bulge on the bonnet.

A 1.8 4 pot with 154k, not MOT'd since 2015....Another victim of 'Its got to be worth 1k all day, its a BMW'......

Does the conversion of the electrics to 16 volts stop the headlamps from closing when you hit a pothole? Or does it just make the hazard lights brighter?

I wouldn't give 50 quid for it. The catalyst is worth 30 quid, maybe 50 for the 'loys, the rest is baler fodder. Genuine LED tail lamps have a value but on this shitheap, you know they'll be DEPO fakes.

 

Literally scrap value and not more.
