Christmas present for the (Scots)man who has everything - Volvo 240 aircon setup.  When I was a lad my dad had a 1984 240 estate with aircon - it actually worked bloody well.

This has been winking at me for weeks, fortunately it's in Londinium and Mrs BMH already thinks 7 vehicles (not counting motorbikes) is too many...

Its the 1.4 Diesel. I went to look. Tidy but the water leak was a concern so I didn't want to go further with a purchase. Anyone would need to check its not the HG which is a common ailment on these 1.4

There's a good reason for that, did you read the advert " a chain snapped in the gearbox"

Basically they're CVTs , which is never a good idea on anything bigger than about 1300cc.

Someone on here had one, possibly Cheggers before his SL, don't know how he got on.

My dad very nearly bought a silver 127 yonks ago for my mum, but he made the wise* choice of getting a 126 instead. Worst. Decision. EVER.

I wonder why I still hate them as much as I do and think of them as the very manifestation of everything shit nowadays.

I mean everything is. And these things will go down in history as the tokens of that in the same vein as old Cadillacs

look like a caricature of Americana in their respective periods.

I saw a Murano convertible in America it literally stopped me in my tracks as I walked down the street it was so gawping. I don’t mind these normal ones though .
