Lee and Lance say: Bollocks. You'd have to search high and low for a Mk2 Golf that wasn't on ridiculous wheels and was a half arsed unfinished project

Gee Darren,

Punctuation and capital letters don't cost more!

hi and welcome to my auction. this will be a long description but id rather give all info to save a million questions etc and will be as honest as possible to best of my knowledge . right where to start. basically i bought this car over a year ago.it was sat in a garage where it had been sat un touched for 20 years.2 previous owners. the car has covered around 120k but dont let that put you off.the car was supplied by clevedon garage from new and the garage is still going to this day. loads and loads of paper work and old recipts in service folder. next i will list every single thing that i have done to the car over the last year to get it back on the road that i can remember as there is alot.firstly i changed the oil and filter. plugs, plug leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm,air fitler, thermostat, water pump, cambelt, rocker cover gasket, anti freeze etc.headgasket changed. both rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes.front brake discs and pads. every single brake pipe apart from one across bulk head is now copper. all brake hoses changed.all fuel lines now copper and all rubber sections have been replaced with new hoses. both track rod ends. steering rack gaiters. both front lower suspension controll arms replaced.tracking done. all 4 shock absorbers replaced. 40mm lowering springs fitted but standards will come with the car as rears have one coil cut.all 6 speakers have been upgraded and will come with kenwood cd player fitted. wiring modified to make it fit and work.both headlights were replaced with second hand as old ones were no good. all wheel arch liners were removed to check for rust. rears were ok but liners crumbled so replaced them. fronts needed a couple of 10p size plates fitted then both front and rears all wax oiled and arch liners re fitted. o/s/f inner wing next to fuse box had a very small weld repair. rear pannel above number plate under rubber seal was corroded so had rear pannel repaired and repainted. front and rear number plates replaced. sun roof does not leak slight corrosion around it in the base.can only be seen when its opened.still solid..all locks where rebuilt and has 2 brand new keys. auxillary belt changed. tyres are all ok aswell as spare.has heated rear screen.dash has a couple of very small cracks but hardly noticable. its a 2 litre pinto with 5 speed type 5 gearbox all working perfect. centre and rear exhaust sections have been replaced. front and rear bumpers have new red trim fitted.i have upgraded the carb and manifold to a cortina 32/36.goes very well but may need setting up a little bit. please see pics and look carefully. the car is far from a show car but a perfect usable classic and cleans up very well as you can see. has a few dings around the car and the bonnet and upper trim above front bumper is heavly stone chipped. n/s outer sill has been repaired and very slight corrosion in rear arches. underside of car has never been repaired that i can see.has been fully valeted inside and out.inlet manifold and exhaust manilfold studs and nuts replaced and gaskets. bad points. bodywork needs slight attention in places.radiator is looking old so will poss need replacing in the future but not leaking. fuel gauge goes up and down a little bit. i think that covers just about everything but i am happy to answer any questions.car drives lovely. no insurance or tax on it now so cant drive it far for road test. will be cash on collection only and a instant 100 pound non refundable deposit needs to be paid via paypal please as not interested in being messed around . car is located in bournemouth area. car advertised else where so can end any time. please call or text 07585309131 for more info . i have been honest with this listing so car will be sold as seen with no warranty or returns. i have put a lot of money in this car and time .will be sad to see it go after i saved it from the crusher. car needs to be viewed really. please only bid if your 100 percent sure you want the car. can view any evening or weekends thankyou and good luck... will consider any sensible offers try me. the engine bay picture is of the old carb as dont have pic with the 32/36 on there. i have a air filter box to go on but it will need a new filter and 4 bolts to bolt it on.i also have a cortina rocker cover to go with the car. (thin lip type) will need painting and a gasket. oh just to add. this car has previosly been listed on here as spares or repair non runner and had a few faults. all the faults that were listed in the last auction have now been fixed as i decided to invest a little more in the car and give it what it deserves thankyou .. I bet if you parked this fucking monstrosity outside a DIY shop, plumbers would just take bits off to repair the bog in the house they're renovating.

Apart from those dreadful pipes I quite like that! Obviously not enough to pay anywhere near that asking price mind.

Didn't the middle carb have a habit of dropping off on these or was that the KH250s?

BTW, if you have a full car licence issued before 1/12/91, you should still have a provisional licence to ride a bike of up to 125cc and 11KW, without a CBT.

Not that you should if you have not ridden recently, or at all.

The bike pictured, if it runs like my one, is a piece of piss to ride and will do 60 MPH.   These Hondas are made of unbreakatanium.

Allegedly all three pots suffered from middle cylinder problems, but having covered a good number of miles on various KH250s and my GT380, I never had a problem. My mate reckoned if was down to the fact the centre pot got the least cooling due to the front wheel being in the way.
