Trims are mega.

Why is he banging on about the 786 plate? Am I being a mega thicko here or what?

The trims are indeed the trims of winners, here's mine . Unfortunately worth £1200 less because the private* plate is only 371!

Quote "lowered at the front by removing 2 coils from the springs". Ok, you have a hacksaw and the Jag's been bodgered, but, not the worst and hey ho.

"Lowered at the rear by removing 2 springs and dampers".

FFS, he's lowered it at the rear by just throwing away half the classic indy suspension, same design as the E-type. Surely Jag put it there for a reason? No?

We had a black 520i 24v auto one of these for over 10 years, same wheel trims but specced new with leather. Bought it from a funeral director so it was a minter. No sunroof or aircon. Threw away the trims and ran it on repainted gloss black steelies. L118 UOW.

My number plate was a measly 118 so worth fuck all really.

There is surely no more welcoming sight on your holidays than returning to a camper van whose interior has been lined with checker plate. Nice one.

I feel sorry for this poor old CTi, which is bad because that's often how I end up buying stuff...

If anyone else is thinking of rescuing it, the ruined back window shouldn't be a deal breaker if the rest of the hood is OK. It can be replaced separately - I did this on my CJ and, while it was an arse of a job, if I can do it, you can! Replacement window was about £120.

MOT man will concur this guy is a fully qualified arsehat. With honours.

I think that's fucked, crease in the roof and nearside doors not shutting. Anyway those V4s were lethal with the carb in the middle of the V. Mine developed a fuel leak which filled the V with petrol before going woof. I realised there was something wrong when the paint on the bonnet turned brown and started blistering. I tried to brake but the fluid was boiling. The handbrake was one of those umbrella handle jobbies under the dash and was crap at the best of times let alone when rapidly approaching a main intersection on the North Circular.

I remember why I don't look in this thread as it's far too tempting and I know some people might not believe me but I actually like being married.

Saying that I like the Corsair but as is said above its knackered now. Looks like the body's twisted with that damage above the passenger door, saying that if you had the right kit could it be pulled back into place?

It would be a labour of love but it is still very repairable. It would need a proper pull on a jig, but most of the damage to the roof and rear end would pull out once the tension of the impact is released. If you've got the correct gear and the right skills it could prove to be a bargain.

I'm considering that spent 3500 last week, for sale this week for 3500 730d as my daily driver. What could go wrong considering my last venture into BMW land and they're more complex than moon science ?

The least they could do is fit a replacement tail light and secure the rear bumper properly. Oh, and take that random stick out of the passenger foot well!

I know of another Civic Aerodeck you could have. It only needs minor* engine work... Ignore its oil-guzzling habit...

The vendor wants £9950 for what he claims to be a 'fabulous 1930's 2 seater',

a 1937 Standard Flying 10

You could buy two real Standard 2 seaters sports for this money if they'd actually made such a thing, but they didn't so this is just an imaginary ill-proportioned bucket of wank.

Chassis number and "10BL" model type are for 1938 Flying 10. This was a six light SALOON, there never was a convertible or sports. No idea WTF this is.

On the "Standard", note the 60s/70s style choke knob and the 60s/70s gauge on the right.   Quite a lash up.

And a cheap ZTT with the 2.5 KV6.
