Is that a launch car? They we're all Wedgewood with blue leather. Very clean, even the door shuts are immaculate.

Nope, launch cars were on an S plate and that's a V. Still nice though.

Actually most launch cars were T reg though a few early cars were S. Just been looking at them on the 75 ZT forum. The above isn't one because it's a 2.0 and they were all 2.5s.

 

Still as you say,very nice. The 2 litre is supposed to be exceptionally smooth, developed specifically for the 75.

No its not a launch car, but its not far off being one.  Its lacking a few of the 'launch extra's' but it looks lovely, none the less.

 

There is one launch car on an 'S' plate and that resides in Gaydon.  The Launch cars out there now are nearly all 99' T registered May - July 1999 however a few more were knocked out later on a 1999 'V'

Well, it is not as good as a mk3 cav v6, however, them who lift cars with forklifts (U Pull it) Have this beauty, been in less than a month,

They are sooooooooooooooooo nice. Literally the best example of a brilliant idea executed poorly ever.

 

I paid £700 for mine and it worked*.

I stand corrected on the S-plate thing.

 

I can confirm the 2-litre is indeed very smooth, and makes a nice noise without you having to go dangerously fast to hear it.

 

I still feel bad about scrapping mine (a scruffy 99V with multiple leaks that eventually died of borked electronics) and would have another as long as I never had to change another headlamp bulb (or possibly indicator, I can't remember which now and I don't want to think about it).

Indicator is easy, the flasher unit falls out if you walk past the car wearing some heavy boots. The headlamp bulbs not so...

nearly right. Basically all launch cars were put out in a very short time frame but when at dealerships it was the dealers descrection as to when they register the cars. We have 3 launch cars in my household my 2 plus my father's. My v reg launch car is actually older than my dads t reg launch car.

 

As said before the launch cars had a specific spec and that doesn't have alot of that spec.

 

1st thing is the engine as stated should be a 2.5.

 

The 2.0 kv6 is a smoother unit but mpg wise is about the same as a 2.5kv6 and the 2.5 is a much more spritely engine.

 

Lovely looking car though and great value for money
