The strut brace is original, although I believe it was reserved for sporty 19s at this stage. All of the preface lift cars had it though....

Lifted the shitty old universal thick rubber mats up and was amazed at how fresh the carpets actually are.

 

 

 

 

Also noted that the thick rubber mat was robbing the throttle pedal of its last portion of travel.

We can't have that.

 

Out the old thick universal mats came, and some old SLK ones are in there till I can find something more period and in keeping. And rubber.

Passed my test in a 19 Chamade 2.0D, non-turbo naturally. Impossible to stall, about the engine's only redeeming quality. Had leccy windows and central locking long before they became the norm though. Possibly why I've been attracted to Frenchies since.

Ran the 19 up to the Chollerford AS meet today, via Morpeth and Bellingham. It had some hooning and a long stretch on the dual carriageway. Drove great all the way and I don't think it's even been that heavy on the juice.

Theres a video of it further up the thread. Its an Oil Level gauge. It tells you your oil level at position 2 on the ignition, then turns off when you start it, as there wont be a measurable level of oil in the sump with the motor running.
