No headlining, no carpet.
I'd say about 70% of the rest is in a pile in my kitchen. Not been through it, but that's a guess.
Back seats and belts?

Well yes.

The front seats and belts are firmly affixed to the interior of the car.

A seller of distinction, would recommend.

In fact, I like it so much, I think I'm going to roffle it and spend a lot more money on a really good one.

When I win the rooooofllleee how much of the interior do you have, to go with it ?

About 65%, the longer it takes for everyone to pay the more of it he cooks from the pile in his kitchen

I can't give you an exact value, but I guess about 70%?

Rear seats, belts, parcel shelf, door cards, speakers, centre consoles, interior trim aplenty.

Probably not all of it and probably no fixings, but AT A BALLPARK GUESS: 70%

Interiors are for losers anyway.

Years ago I bought a mk3 cortina out of the scrappy in london, only one seat in it and vinyl roof flapping in the breeze. Yard owner knew a guy who wrote me out a year's dodgy MOT there and then without even looking at it and I drove it out of the yard and straight back to scotland ?

That looks like about 70% of an interior. Stacked up and packed up, ready for collection.

I'm sure it won't be too long till I have another R53 mini. Longer than initially expected though as I seem to have drastically underestimated what a really good one would cost.

That’s dirt cheap I would say it’s so cheap it would scrap for close to that.

The gearbox sold as a conversion kit for a midland box cooper R50 would be over half that alone.

You won’t have trouble getting rid of that R53 that’s for sure.

I’m out though as I’m afraid I already own a R50  Cooper which is trying it’s best to bankrupt me as I’m sure mine has Renault Laguna 2 electrics.

Yeah I spoke to a breaker and he basically said there's more value in bits on sub-£1100 cars. He breaks motd, driving cars and makes plenty of money so there's demand.

FOAD picked this up at lunchtime and is away back up the road now.

Just seen this wee car pass me at orange lane 10 mins or so ago, I had to double take as recognised the plate,   Looked like students going back after term time as it was well packed.

Shame I missed the roffle as really would like to try an S one day.

With the Bini off up the road to Scotland with Foad and Mrs Foad, I found myself all of a sudden without any kind of car. .

Panic.

Ok, what's for sale within budget?!

Luckily, @SRi05 was selling something lovely (leaked via @loserone) which was only one country away. And a lovely shitter who loves Pugs, trains and cans was not far away.  God bless @davehedgehog31 who wouldn't even take wages for bringing it down. 5 star shitter.

A thread occured.

A car and a shitter came south.

Thoughts so far?

Drives like a new car.

It's slow, but an amazing tourer/cruiser. So fucking smooth, comfortable and quiet. Stereo is bang on, everything works and it's an effortless drive. Really is a credit to SRI05 and Prepace.

7/10.

It even comes with a pre prepared EML. What more could you want ? Glad you're happy with it, it's a surprisingly competent cruiser on the motorway.

That's no mean feat either man coz this car is actually a rather large and heavy fucker. Two tries to reverse park it at THE BIG TESCO today.

Why the fuck were they still fitting tape decks in 2003 also?

Because everyone had tapes in 2003?!

They really are great looking cars.  I thought it was a shame they fitted them all with the normal 406 interior and engines.

Same as the Astra coupes that have that great bertone design then normal astra misery inside.

So what's been going on with this 406 coupe, I hear absolutely none of you queueing up to shout.

Well, the throttle cable was stretched slacker than a dockers pocket making BIG NEGS on throttle pedal travel, speed, acceleration and drivability.

A man in overalls was consulted and chins stroked.

A fix was employed using clips and lashings of SPECIAL STRONG SPEED TAPE.

"That's probably stronger than a new cable. I'm confident that'll see the car out."

Was the verdict. That'll do for me. He's never been found lacking yet.

The car is now transformed. It's become fast. Like a sports car. Not VERY like a sports car mind, but more like a sports car than it was. The wheels spin with ease now, shining a spotlight of shame on the front tyres, which are ok in the dry but deadly in the damp. Odd as they're a good brand. I'll just pray for a dry winter for now.

After the success of cabling, moved on the the EML and ANTI POLLUTION FAULT.

"I'll knock the light off now, and again for MOT"

Apparently almost anything can be the cause of this code, and changing everything sometimes still leaves it on.

This trim panel was poorly fitted and the OBD2 port lost behind the lower dash so I broke out the Lidl tools.
