What a thoroughly decent chap you are.

That's very kind of you to say, it makes a change to being called a cunt, that "Scottish Prick" or  "A piece of work" like some other forum members have said...

Well done on the test result! You have performed a very selfless thing.

Can't be many Visas in Scotland of any description other than a few surviving C15 vans?

Well done for the amazing work.

I only said you were all of those things if you didn't do it!

That was better then all of the Strictly Dancing put together.  Top televisual entertainments.

The original mot tester quoted them £2000 to repair it and told them they were better off just pushing it off of a cliff, clearly they just didn't want the work but it's still a bit of a shitty thing to tell them.

Roughly, if you were paid to do this how much would it have cost?

Nice work FOAD, everybody's got something better to do, especially at this time of year, so full marks for giving your time up for something you may not see again.

I can't really answer that because I don't really work on anyone else's cars, when working on my own cars I never really factor in the time spent on them.

I think a lot of places charge £30 per hour so in that respect it would be roughly £600.

The owner of this doesn't have 25 year old, blond, blue eyed triplet girls by any chance?

I think you've indirectly answered my question I was about to ask there.

Approx 10 hours a side?

Something like that, I think I spent about 10 hours in the first weekend then a couple of hours each weeknight to get it finished.

Say I'd done this work with the aim of selling the car on for a profit, how much is a tatty Visa Cabriolet worth with a years ticket on it?

Dunno. At a stab, I'd guess about £650-£850? Any advance on that?

I expect Six-cyl will have an idea about prices here, but if it was in France about €1200-1500 I'd say!

No good as a business plan then. Not with other costs piled on.

It's a good job you enjoy your hobby!

Undeniably a useful hobby.

Could you be a bit more specific?

It might have actually been Scottish cunt, it was said by a prolific shiter in the north east of England who has a habit of expressing interest in cars then falling off the face of the earth after agreeing to buy them.

Is he a tasty yet conveniently portable snack?

Even, "lazy, big, grumpy, hairy, fat, beardy Scottish prick" only narrows it down to about a dozen.
