Is that one of them Peruvian illegal immigrants, taken off his duffle coat hoping we don't recognise him?

I've been in a car with Moog before. I'm gonna guess at 14mpg.

Only if he holds it in lower gears..

2nd at 30 in my Fabia was a particular highlight;)

Feel free to 'break down' when you are in Scotland over the next few weeks and you have to leave the car at mine for an indefinite period...

Nice win, I do love the look of these.

Although the girl next to me who is telling all her friends about the other slag she knows who is pregnant is erm interesting. Apparently it happened in spain.

I was there a few weeks ago but not guilty!

Looks like the same as mine but auto. Looking forward to your opinions on it. I love how it's got a ford dashboard with a jaguar logo

Well done Mr. Moog, I'm well pleased to see that purchase. Jags use less fuel when driven harder, that is their way. Did you get that from Preston? That's where the sapphire blue XJ Sport came from. Whenever I try to get to that part of the country via rail it proves nearly impossible with all the cancelled trains. This just keeps happening to me, indeed I nearly didn't get the XJ Sport at all that day the train service was so sketchy.

Ring ring ring

Back safe. First thoughts are it is a lovely place to sit. Two hours back with no stops.

Cruise is a wonderful thing. Especially for 50mph roadwork sections. It was either that or 72 ISH.

Which seems decent for a big old beast with 3.0 upfront.

The steering wheel is on a bit wonky which is slightly annoying aside from that everything else seems to work :-)

Makes me realise how knackered the 406 is.

Interestingly car take back are offering £210 collected for the 406!

If I swapped back in the old ECU and sold the refined one on eBay that is effectively the purchase price of the 406 back.

Glad you like it! 35mpg is very respectable. It really is a nice place to be.

For 18 1/2 years old it really is a bloody good car, it's also very clean. I went past a 54 plate the other day and the rear arches were so grotty.

Is it a 3.0 or a 4.0 , I had a 4.0. , really liked it

I did similar today but it wasn't worth a thread

7:45 bus then the 8:45 train Warrington to Manchester airport , arrived full but 70 more people managed to get on , 11:50 Flybe to Exeter to pick a van up then drive back to Warrington , got in at 8:45 utterly bolloxed

On the plus side the van had 7/8 of diesel and it's still on 1/2 a tank now , fiat Ducatos are good on fuel

Are they good on fuel wack or do they just have a humungous fuel tank? I recall filling one from empty and it took approx £130 to fill.....was a Peugeot Boxer (so same thing)

I am not sure it is that popular even before that point!

If I'd have known you were coming through Lostock Hole I'dve stood on the platform & waved

This car has a lot to answer for. I've spent the last week trawling S Types, and have about 13 windows up at the moment, as well as Trainline and google maps. Mrs Cade says it's my midlife crisis starting. Told her about the ZX9 Ninja I'm watching, so she thinks the Jag may be "nice to go for chips in, but too nice for the dog."

Chuckling to myself too, as my late brother was a massive Jag fan, and had his own garage when I was growing up- used to come home in E Types and XJ12's. I always hated Jags and always ribbed him about them, he just went on about how they jingled when they started. He'd be pissing himself now I seem to have caught the bug. Ted, I get it. :-D

Dog is ok. He has got some big lumps on back leg.

Once fur was shaved off it's clear he has just got a small cut on it which is a relief.

Plaster plus a cone of shame should fix it.

He is excited by the news.

Now dreaming of Rover 800s.

TTD - 14:36

he is the spitting image of my bruno.

best dog ever

Is the cruise control working now then? That's a bonus.

Once I found the on/off switch it was fine and dandy.

Plan is to take Missus Moog out in it today and point out the nice stuff on it.

Missus Moog's first comment to me was that I won't hold on to it for long - how she knew my current plan was to hold on to it till Feb ISH time - so depends how quickly you want one :-)

It has got the 3.0. which goes reasonably well when push go faster pedal coming out of a 50 zone.

You should have put up a collection thread especially as it involves flights.

Nope this was Tipton in Midlands. Was a roffle win - I am not sure how many that takes me to now. Should update the roffle win thread.
