Princess Xantia.......a vendre

1998 Xantia 2.0 pez auto [Desire...........Papa, Nicolle etc etc] located in Kent

115k miles, full cow and wind..............

Comprehensive service book history, although very few receipts.

I'll let the pictures tell the story. Now superfluous to requirements, and far too good for a WBOD.

Spheres and Cambelt recently done.

700 snotters to a shiter.......would take commodious WBOD in p/x

That is a thing of utter beauty. Sadly, I don't think my Saab Convertible is a very commodious p/x.

I'm trying to go at least 5 weeks without owning a Xantia and this is not helping.

Dagnammit. I'd have your hand off for that if it was an estate :(

Such a shame this is a petrol as I'm in Kent too. If it wasn't I'd be on it like a car bonnet.

I'd have it too if I had the money and a partner that would accept me buying another car...

It is cheaper than getting the flywheel done on my Golf, though!

I've a feeling that nice Mr Hammond is going to do something horrible to dizzler owners in the next budget........

Unlikely.

The congestion charge / ULEZ stuff will be what kills old diesels - Hammond will only go after new ones. Company cars, first year tax etc.

^^ Do it. Just so I can perv over it.

Very tempted to offer swap with Galaxy despite non-ULEZ'ness if you don't.

The ULEZ thing is ages away...and I rarely keep my cars for longer than a year. Besides, that means that if we don't ever manage to escape London then this is our last chance to own a Xantia.

...S1 nose, switchgear and instruments...but S2 rear lights and a button for the front fogs rather than on the stalk as on an S1. Bitsa from the S1-S2 changeover?

Nice example though, not seen those door cards before. Would love a set of them for the Activa.

Good luck with the sale!

Also - red Xantia sans clear coat peel? What the?

I had one like this a few years ago- same colour; a crossover 98 - lots of spec- mine was the 1.9td; a 6 years old car at the time; got it cheap as it had a sunroof that wouldn't shut n it wouldn't start; it was being sold by a Citroen dealership,  having been passed onto them from another stealers... it had real poor 'get up n go' on the way home n this was later discovered to be a cracked turbo to intercooler plastic pipe...

I agreed a price n had it started after 15mins; much to the surprise of the citroen tech;s that couldn't get it started for the week it was sitting there; I managed to re'synck the sunroof motor to the mechanism   - the turbo to intercooler pipe turned out to be a sticking point; had 2 or 3 shipped in from UK n nornIre - all the wrong type; turns out the car was a north African assembled car, when citroen where experimenting with 'outsourcing production' ... couldn't fing the right intercooler pipe so I sent it off the remains of the old one n had it plastic welded back together which was 'in its infancy ' like hacking folks bank accounts on t'internet' - took real skill, at the time... I later sold the car for a profit... was a real anomaly that car; getting bits for; Id say this one is a similar crossover oddball
