New on here.....but thought I'd bore you with the stuff II'd had over the years since passing my driving test back in 1986.....I guess at the time some of them were interesting  - and now they mostly all are.

 

Have pics for a afair  few of them, but some are from old school. You know, when you had to take the film to the chemist to get developed. Black and white time.

 

Happy to talk shite about any of them.

Not quite 1896......   dunno, there was never any intention to go mad, just kinda happened.  The Lancia Thema stuff was great .  Went to France to for the 3.0 LX.  That then went to Japan 4 years later. One of the turbis wen to Australia.  I drove it to southampton docks. Was in a "convoy" south of Oxford with a 944 and a Honda Prelude - the 3 of is ramming along at 100 mph.   This was back in 2001. Happy days!

Some cracking cars there, and a few that are firmly on my want (but will probably never have now) list.

 

I think I enquired about that blue Thema estate when it was up for sale a few years ago. I must have had one of my sensible moments as I didn't buy it. I'd still love a Thema SW.

I've only had 1 Thema myself, a series 3 LS turbo.

The blue estate was a one of 200 lx turbo 16v. Basically using leftover 8.32 dashboards and with a nicer perforated alcantara interior. Sold for peanuts to a bloke in Ireland. Should've kept it really.

Fleet isn't. Just the Outback and the 8.32. In saying that there's never really been more than 4 at one time. Usually 3. Now 2. See where this is heading.. ..

Kappa coupe didn't quite work styling wise. Too short, too tall. Refined but nowhere near as quick as the fiat coupe with the same 20vt engine. Weight and possibly gearing I guess.

 

That Merc was a one way ticket to financial ruin and taught me the hard way that all the talk about mercs being high quality was bollocks. Biodegradable wiring anyone?
