Weird Car Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 Thought I’d share this here incase anyone was after an engine, or a step sibling to your model 70 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285295970591 LightBulbFun and Mrs6C 2

XEV88S was one of the only if not the only known survivor of a Right hand tiller all hand control machines so it makes me grumpy such a rare variant has been converted to normal handlebars (and theres also the matter of the mould lines he shaved off the back, but that would probably take some fine-hand fibreglass skills to put back LOL)  AdgeCutler and Mrs6C 1 1

LightBulbFun Posted May 24, 2023 Author Posted May 24, 2023 Meanwhile at Castle Combe *Ennio Morricone type Western/Dual music goes here* performance reports has that the Mk12E Brian is better off the line, but the Model 70 will have Brain up the inclines and has the grunt to keep going and pass Brian once the going gets fast  It would be interesting to see a comparison review with TPA, as she by all accounts sounds like quite the performant Model 70 and likewise Brian sounds like quite the sprightly Mk12E! I mean I guess I should not be surprised the Engine has been expertly rebuilt and tuned  so it would be awesome to get an @dollywobbler type back to back review of TPA and Brian, an example of each type at their best, a well Sorted Model 70 and very well sorted Mk12E!  egg, Dick Cheeseburger, Remspoor and 2 others 5

LightBulbFun Posted May 31, 2023 Author Posted May 31, 2023 very cool! I had seen the Acedes and the first Tippen Delta beforehand, but not the 2nd Delta shot or the Mk12 one   id love to take REV right through Central London, into Oxford street-regent-street etc, I mean its not exactly all that far away from here! just wondering if/hoping I will ever get REV back before they pedestrianise the lot!  BTW a top tip for grabbing screen-shots from youtube videos, with the video paused about where you want it, use the < (less than) and (greater than) > keys on your keyboard to move the video frame by frame, its very handy for searching for that 1 non-blurry frame  egg and Vimesy 2
AdgeCutler Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 A pretty shot of Brian that one of my sisters took before heading to Castle Combe. Tomorrow I shall be loading up my Ruston and Hornsby 1YHR stationary engine on the trailer to head to Rainscombe park rally. My cousin is to tow the engine, while I drive Brian who will also be exhibited. It’s a lovely little show in a beautiful setting in Oare, Wiltshire. JJ0063 Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 It doesn’t look like it’s moved from those original pics, just overgrown since!
AdgeCutler Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Looking down at Rainscombe park rally from the top of the hill, a steep climb that makes you puff a good un. Anyone for a game of spot the Brian?! LightBulbFun, 500tops and egg 3

I have spoken about OO259 quite a bit on account of its rather unusual registration mark, but I never realised the picture I had of it was from a video, thats nifty  https://autoshite.com/topic/32723-lightbulbfuns-invacar-general-ramble-thread-index-on-page-1-survivors-lists-on-pages-24134-adgecutlers-invacar-mk12-restoration-from-page-186-onwards-still-harping-on/page/191/?tab=comments#comment-2261782 although curiously the photo I have is clearer than any frame I can grab from the video, so I wonder if it is a photo that was taken at the same time, or just from outside of youtube and its compression? I never thought about searching for the reg plate . The vid was uploaded quite a number of years ago . Maybe there was a time when quality could not be high. I know there once was a limit on the length of upload. I expect the image was taken from a copy of the original film. LightBulbFun 1
AdgeCutler Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 A couple of shots taken on the way home from a cracking weekend at Rainscombe park. I did mean to capture Brian at Silbury hill but alas someone else was parked in the spot. lisbon_road, dollywobbler, 500tops and 5 others 8
