Right due to a change of mota I have 2 very good well treaded Pirelli Sotto zero's and one odd Pirelli snow. All seemingly 5mm, but bring your own depth gauge. (I punctured the 4th and binned it).To show my faith in these I ordered another 4 at £436 fitted from my local fitter Vince. Obviously in another smaller size :)

All 225/55/16 with snowflakes on.

New price My price £20 a pop, collection only M25 end of Essex.

Also I will be pulling the attached apart shortly, I have a nice Kenwood autochanger ready to plug in the factory BMW boot cradle too.

While I'm at it, 306 cyclone 5 spoke, laquer bubblng, well treaded Pirelli Psummat (but with spare cage marks) £20.

Not a for sale but a request?

Does anyone have a car cd player?

Nothing fancy, some shock protection would be a plus, no usb/mp3/ipod needed. Just something to play cd's that doesn't switch back to the radio constantly like my current shite one.

Rather keep a fellow shiter on the road than some possible robber on Ebay or Gumtree. :)

I've got a fully functioning Aiwa lying around, 20 quid?

Does anyone fancy a rather nice Halogen electric hob thing? We've got one, but we're cookin' on gas, so it's a bit pointless really. They heat up super-quick so your Super Noodles can be cooked in no time! Has push buttons and looks a bit swish, so not really kitchen shite. Sorry. We're looking for £100.

Well Earl, you're obviously a man of taste, quoting Marillion on you're AS "whereabouts"!!!

There must be something on there you want (pleads.....begs....grovels....) :D

Go on gents - not a single message after two weeks with this. Am I over doing the 'this one is actually OK' or is it just too expensive?

Much like el Moog, I can't afford to insure the car to keep it taxed, which I can see doesn't help when trying to sell.

I can't see anything wrong with it myself, It looks nice, has all the bells and whistles and is in the cheap tax band, That would make an ideal second car for someone, Christ it's nicer then Mrs Triggers car!.

Those Almera's are popular with the Indians around these parts, I just think you've been unlucky so far, have you tried gumtree, preloved or adtrader?

Just try the standard "This car is cheap to run" message, I bet it will sell then!

That's a bloody nice car and no mistaking. Only negatives I can see that mileage may put people off (because not everyone knows that the current odometer reading is sod all to one of these), lack of tax and also there isn't really any mention of faults. That to me is probably putting people off a little if being honest.

Perhaps list a couple of daft faults (slight scuff on bumper, clock doesn't work, scratch on the wing, whatever) as some people might think the car can't be possibly be that good and (if you're still insured) offer to tax it at buyer's cost whilst also mentioning the fact it's in the cheap rate tax bracket.

Lack of tax is a big factor to a lot of watchers as they'll worry about driving it home or getting taxed before they do and they might feel they can't test drive it first, so as said would respectfully suggest mentioning you can tax it at their cost if you're still insured on it.

Personally I prefer to buy a car with tax as it's much less grief getting it home, I remember when buying my 1602 racing around Brigg trying to find a post office what was still open just so i could drive it home.

Thanks for the input, very much appreciated :)

I'd not even heard of adtrader, so I've posted it there. Looks a hell of a lot better value than AutoTrader, who took £35 from me to send me some spam - which is still coming two weeks after the ad ended. Glad I used a throwaway address... Gumtree seems to be simply hanging when I try to post the ad, regardless of the browser I use.

Tax is a pain - insurance on this was about £400, and I've transferred it over to the 323F. There was no tax on that either - I emailed the chap a PDF of my certificate, he printed it and taxed it for me, and I can't see why I can't do the same. I'll add that to the advert text, perhaps that will entice someone out of the woodwork.

RE: faults. I have mentioned the remote fobs for the central locking not working. I didn't mention the AC which doesn't blow cold. Perhaps I should go and scratch it? I started listing at £1000 when it was on AutoTrader, but the complete lack of any response seems to suggest that's a bit steep. Having a look, maybe it's not - there's some remarkably rough looking ones at serious money.

Thanks again :)

Wasn't implying there is anything wrong with the car, just suggesting listing a couple of minor things as it does (usually) help when selling.

AutoTrader is brilliant as long as the money is right. I don't know what the catchment area is like for your local AutoTrader (ie. a big area) but if there many Asian communities within reading range then at the right price it should fly out. Before anyone cries 'racist' I'm merely suggestion that Asians do seem to love Japanese (and German) cars and in my experience don't piss about if they want something.

It's twin sister - same colour, NA02VOP or something, is owned by a chinese family - i know /exactly/ what you mean.

Anyhow, I've updated the ad, lets see how it gets on. :)
