The Achilles - you couldn't make it up! The weakest link in a vehicles safety, comfort and handling is the tyre - both it's condition and quality, so why not name your offering after a well known weakness which led to the downfall of a hero?

I was idly inspecting a slightly shitey looking DAF LF tipper at work (as you do) and noticed some interesting (for a given value of interesting) tyre names that I thought I might disseminate on here...

N/S rear outer was the Double Coin (Not pictured the Fulda on the O/S rear)

N/S front had the Triangle tyre (apparently one of the world's biggest tyre makers)

The O/S front was also a Triangle (going by the triangle emblem) but with the tyre name in forrin.

Aye I’ve seen a few Double Coin tyres on trucks. Mainly tippers and bin wagons.

Ahhh I spy a Davanti tyre there, woman at work put a set of 4 on her new civic for under 180 quid then wondered why the car suddenly became a handful as she'd replaced the worn out continentals it came with new, surprise surprise the worn out contis on 2mm had significantly more grip than the brand new Davanti's.

Cheap chinese shit, don't do it folks.
