Parked next to a car with a Churchill tyre today.  One from the 'choose something from a list of vaguely trustworthy sounding generic names and hope people make the right associations' school of marketing.

Made in Portugal, owned by Continental. Quote - 'Mabor owes its name to Maria Fernandes Borges – the wife of Francisco Borges, who, as the co-owner of a Portuguese bank, financed a major share of the Mabor plant.'

Looking forward to seeing Montgomery, Mainwaring and Harris tyres to appeal to the patriotic British market.

Bingo! My eyes lit up when I spotted budget tyres on the maintenance form for Mrs warch’s new (well 2020) whip.

A pair of the recently mentioned Churchills on the front…

and a brace of the fabulously named Autogreen Sport Cruisers on the rear.

Surely Polo is the only mint with a hole in the middle?

That reminds me of the old Dunlop advertising Groundhog. I had a squeaky toy of one of these.

Have we had any of these yet? The snappily named Lanvigator.

Had a Lanvigator Performax H/T fitted to use as a spare today. In fairness I did ask my local tyre place for the cheapest 245/65 R17 they had, hopefully we won't need to use it.

Other thing that amused me was coming across engine oil with the same surname as me
