Me, 17-Coffees and a couple of our mates will be heading to Errol to mooch around the Morris Leslie auction this Saturday.

Anybody else going to be there?

I'll use this thread to post whatever photos I take while I'm there too.

Not a single Morris Oxford, and they call themselves a classic car auction;)

I'll likely use Sat as a day to repair what is on fleet, rather than buy MOAR scrap that ain't needed!

Have a fun time!

Aye, I was thinking about making a start on the BMW's repairs, but that can wait. I'm out of the country for two weeks as of the 19th anyway, so it was never going to make the 2 week free retest deadline!

I never was that big of a fan of the R6 (There. I said it).

The desired Junkmanish pairing would be R4 and R16.

Or something seriously daft, like an R8 or R10,

which weirdly sound like a Dodge Viper. No, really.

May head along for a bit, hope they have something as hilariously collapsed as the 2CV they had last time!

I need this like a hole in my head, or toothache, but...

Don't show this to Squire Dawson.

Why, oh why, is this engined to suck all joy and happiness out of me?
Granted, I could drive it a bit until a power plant fueled by acceptable propellant pops up,
but the risk of dying from some nasty cancer and depression in the meantime is just too big.

Have I really reached an age where these make it into classic car auctions?
I mean, I was at the launch party.

Sadly the semi correct engine is offset by an anachronistic gearbox technology* that should long have been unavailable at the time,
and the upholstery material was carefully selected to suit only servants.
Also, why would anyone have ordered a car like this in the colours of a day in Manchester?

Will be keeping an eye on that R6 for obvious reasons. Is it just me getting old or is a lot of that stuff too modern for a classic auction?

How about a Sherpa fire engine? Sadly no V8 so your house would have burned down long before it got there.

No estimate, reserve or mot on this so may end up going for cheap...

I might head up for a wander round on Saturday.

The e36 m3 is the Evolution model with the 3.2 engine that went into the e46 M3.

I reckon that, as its stock part from wheels, this would make a greta investment.

The E36 had an s52, the E46 and s54 (3152cc vs 3246cc) ;)

Agreed though an E36 eco is future ££ in the bank if not fucked.

Only did local fires for local people?

No, it was so slow they'd only get a couple of miles from the station before being called back because the place they were heading to had burnt down.

"What's all this shouting? We'll have no trouble here."

The low mile 820 in red with the complimenting interior piping is delightful. It’s immediate flip material, so hopefully someone who’s a person buys it and drives it.

Heyyy it's a TURBO diesel.

The fire station in my village uses an LDV Convoy.
