What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

In other news, I visited The Internet thinking my BlackBerry battery is so crap I should buy a replacement battery. What actually happened is I told EE to FRO (no like-for-like upgrades) with great pleasure, and signed up to Three instead. I get a better phone for free, and spend £10 less for the same package every month. A result I think. I don't think I'll ever forgive EE for ruining Orange - a company I had been with for almost 12 years. The future's f*cked as it happens.

EE try every now and then to get me on contract.  I put, at best £5 a month on my PAYG mobile because I never use the sodding thing.  When they find this out they don't even try to sell me anything, which is how I like it.

Sorry Mookie for keeping you hanging on awaiting collection for so long. Especially as they cost us a grand total of £0

I did tip a gallon of WVO into your old Xant in exchange for Vulg's delivery services - it must have reminded the XUD of the good old days of Moog motoring as it powered back up north.

He was making excuses for it, but it's a fine looking machine, and no mistake.

that happened to me with t mobile

upgrade was an iphone and tariff but cost 20 quid more a month and it was already over priced

went to three and got miles better non apple phone for 7.50 a month

.

Not a problem.. It is just space I will fill up with rubbish 😊

hopefully if you do install the seats you will share pics.

Will do.

Though Julie doesn't often come up here in her Transit. I could do with it here for the job, then I'll have access to all my stuff to make the correct legs for the seats to bolt in nicely. Some fabbing will be required.

The Autoshitetastic velour is something to behold. A minibus full of these seats must have been quite a sight. How's the camper conversion coming along? Is it about time for an update?

Yo Cobblers - how hard is that remapping shiz to learn?  My Forester is running like a bag of shite at low speeds and I reckon it's overfuelling badly - it's supposed to have been remapped in the past, and I'm not sure it was very well done.  I don't want to start forking out for a tuner to sort it if I can get the gubbins to do it myself.

If you want to register your interest in a McLaren P1, on the stand at Geneva, the drop down choices for your title are a bit longer than if you're interested in a Dacia Duster;

^ Friggin 'eck.

I wouldn't want TooSavvy writing my prescription out. Could end up being prescribed anything from Tamiflu to four Giraffes, a Key Lime Pie and a Proton wheel bearing ;)

To be honest a remap is unlikely to make any difference at all to low speed running, generally you won't even touch anything other than 80% + load, 2500rpm+ and unlike faffing with carbs etc etc, it's pretty straightforward to make changes exactly where you want to without affecting anywhere else.

It's taken me probably a few weeks of a couple of hours a day reading and tinkering to really get familiar enough with what I'm doing, but I'm lucky that there's a real wealth of info on my particular ECU/engine because it's fitted to flipping EVERYTHING  from 2000 to 2010. Without all that I don't think I'd have been able to do it. Even with pages and pages of info, It's all got quite a steep learning curve - There's no "how to do a stage 1 remap" thread, so I basically wrote one for myself.

Nothing more done except MOT. Need to use it to move house so the back isn't going to get anymore in it till after that.

... make PURPLE TEA?

I'm gonna try that tomorrow, in honour of the impeccably styled Vulgalour,...

WTaF?

It has turned out a mucky 'toilet-cleaner' green.

Schadenfreude (/ˈʃɑËÂdÉ™nfrÉâ€Ã‰ÂªdÉ™/; German: [ˈʃaËÂdn̩ˌfÊ€Éâ€Ã‰ÂªÃŒÂ¯dÉ™] (13px-Speaker_Icon.svg.png listen)) is pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others.%5B1%5D This word is taken from German and literally means 'harm-joy.' It is the feeling of joy or pleasure when one sees another fail or suffer misfortune. It is also borrowed by some other languages.

Hey, at least you understand part of the mixing process BL used for their paints now, Krujoe.  I think you just made Tundra tea.

My front bumper is stronger than I thought after hitting a pigeon at 65mph square on. Made a massive bang, and there were feathers everywhere but the bumper held on with bits of stick one side stayed strong!

I've been thinking on and off about going to Le-mans for ages, just booked my ticket+camping (130E) and ferry (£70).

No plans to meet up with anybody, but I'm quite easy going on keeping myself entertained for a few days with loads of cool cars to watch.

Three grins today.

First, I did 225 miles in the 205 (home - Wolverhampton - Oswestry - Ludlow - Ross - home) and can still walk.  Second, the Mercedes was on the drive when I got home, apparently fixed.  Must take some money to the tame mechanic tomorrow.

And third, I saw another great shite number plate: BE11JJJ  :)

I shall be there again this year camping at Houx in the caravan. If you want a pass for the ACO areas I can get  a couple of guests in at 15 euro a time. It is a good weekend not quite as mad as it used to be, where are you camping ?

BEAUSEJOUR is the only site with space left now. I may well be interested in a trip into the ACO areas.

FPB7, PM to come your way very soon.

I must admit after 2 years camping at Beausejour I couldn't put up with it any more, what day are you going ? It is a bloody long walk to the main village from there especially if you arrive late you can end up about a mile away from the entrance to the campsite. It is a bloody big field. Give me a shout nearer the time and we can meet up. The ACO have 2 member areas one by the entrance to the pit lane and one by the Dunlop bridge, they get pretty crowded but still better than the public areas.

Been servicing the big mower in preparation for the coming season. John Deere parts are mega-pricey, but a bit of pricking about on the internet revealed that the engine oil filter is the same as that of a Smart car and the transmission oil filter is the same as the engine oil filter fitted to some Nissans - Bought them from an online supplier and saved a big dose of cash.
