What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Someone needs to make a replica of that... There's loads of those old Lotus bodies sitting about, they're blooming worthless. Lop the top off, stick on an Allegro VDP grille and off you go!*

*Due to a lack of engineering and mechanical knowledge, please do not blame me if it needs slightly more than that to make it work.

Still LOL when I see the 'dangerous toy company' bit at the bottom.

HaHa loved that Satsuma ad. Anyone remember the spoof ad for the Rolls Royce silver ghost in the VIZ calendar from about 1996 or so.

It's described in the ad as 'A Vaginal Lodestone':lol:

Then at the bottom;

London - Paris - New York - Munich

Everybody talk about Pop Music

Always made me laugh.

Viz also did this:

I met an Irish guy in Ullapool - he was on his way to Norway on a Honda 90 - who said that a friend had actually bought one for his Ma, and his Ma thought it was great - she didn't see the irony in it at all...

Brilliant, my office mate has that plate and I have witnessed first hand to it's awesomeness.

Her husband wouldn't allow her to hang it at home.

Wait a minute - you can actually buy that plate?

Has the artist signed himself off as 'Fellatio'?

:D

I love Viz, it went shit in the 90's, but it's been really funny the past decade or so.

They (Viz) had to print an apology to the gyppos after that, never found out for certain if it was genuine or not though.

Roger Irrelevant was magic, anyone remember him and his penchance for nailing sprouts on to his sister's dolls noses?

The one off cartoons were class as well, 'The Vibrating Bumfaced Goats' and 'Jump Jet Fanny and her Hawker Siddely Twat' stick in my mind.

I'm finding Taynes new avatar quite amusing.

The comic was reprimanded by the United Nations after featuring a strip called 'The Thieving Gypsy Bastards'.[17] During the resulting court case, UK newspaper The Sun ran a story revealing that the principal Roma man who initiated the action against them was in fact also being tried for (and was later found guilty of) handling stolen property. Viz then later ran a short strip called "The Nice, Honest Gypsies", featuring a kindly Gypsy woman selling pegs door-to-door and helpfully returning forgotten change.

I got my Piazza swivel chair back from my mate in Bolton!

It's amazing, very well made, and extremely comfortable but (see Grumpy Old Man thread).......

That is incorrect. The Nice, Honest Gypsies was in the same issue as The Thieving Gypsy Bastards. They ran a "Cut Out and Keep Apology" in a later issue.

Agree about the one offs. 'Mickey's monkey spunk moped' was a personal favourite...

I just looked this advert up on youtube. Such a brilliantly simple idea that gets the point across.

Didn't that finish with leopard's fanny batter? I recall a small cock&balls on the speedo too.

Got a pair of OMG VGOOD!! slotties for the Maestro van trailer yesterday from KFW via Cavmad. I even managed to fit a pair of tyres by lubing them up and standing on them. Im so clever! They look brill but now I need the special wheel nuts to attatch them to the vans hubs. Any idea where I can get them from? Actually, they arnt slotties at all, theyre Shelbys. Same thing though I guess.

Id post piccies but I dropped my laptop last week and killed it. This is the third (or fourth) time ive broken it and im pretty fed up with frigging thing (although im totally to blame for wrecking it) I mentioned my fuckwittery to Cavmad and he pulled an Apple eMac out of his shed, like magic. Wow. Its like something from Tomorrows World Circa 1986- Amazing!

I took it home and plugged it all in and lo and behold, it works! The screen is massive, its easy to use and it looks like it should survive a nuclear holocaust. Thanks Billy, its brill! Theres some dodgy stuff on iTunes though :? .

Can I get it online? Can I bollocks! Does anyone have any advice? Maybe I should just stick to Maestro vans and lube?

BTW, im at the library, surrounded by smelly people reading books. Books, pah!!

Tim, I'll try and remember how to get it online and TXT U RITE BK M8.

I just past a totally mint, polished up, Gold Volvo 740 saloon on a C - plate. The bloke was just crusing at 25mph, window down and arm resting on the door. What a winner! It made me grin :D

Don't they need/have something called an 'airport' card to get onto the t'internet?

Posted

Worked GR8 on the net when I had it so can't understand why it doesn't now.

I had it running through a wireless router so maybe it needs a modem or some such thing?

Ps: Tim: not a cop out but I didn't have it from new so honestly have no idea what you found on iTunes, and possibly don't want to either!

I've just moved out of my flat and have had my final bills through from the utilities, and I'm in credit with them all! So that's £90 I'm getting back that I thought was gone, woot! I know it's money I shouldn't have paid out in the first place, but it's always a good feeling to get some back 8)

I had read about that airport thing. Think its the mac version of wireless. I have a router plugged in but just dunno what to do with it now. I think i need a password and address? Do they do a book called MACS4SPACKS?

Posted

The wireless on a mac is also tweakable from here, unless it's using the old OS9 in which case all bets are off as to whether it'll work.
