What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Considering how many times 'original' was mentioned in the advert for that £8,000 Mk1 Golf on Retro-Rides, it's had an awful lot of replacement parts. Especially the 'Original Diamond silver (Paint code L97A) that has been professional laid to a high standard.' I would have liked to see how he scraped the original paint off then reapplied it to various bits, not least the second hand tailgate it had fitted.

Sounds a bit like a certain brown Nova Sport.

Nowt left of the original car.

@Vulgor, now we know it is turbocharged and FWD. I guess SAAB.

Captain slow, torque steer, my first thought was T-series, but that may be a tad new for him, so I'll guess Montego turbo

Watched a programme last night about ABBA.

Fell in love with Agnetha all over again.

Took me right back it did....

Sigh.....

Sigh indeed, but it was all Anni-Frid for me.

Difficult choice, but Agnetha always won IMHO.

A girl I know looks extremely similar to Agnetha so the pain continues! She is 35 and married, I am 52, fat, slightly ugly and into old cars. Just to make things even more painful!

Funny, but watching the ABBA thing on TV last night suddenly made me feel very old if that makes sense?

Only seems like yesterday. Ho Hum

Edit.

Bugger!

That's not the exhaust pipe glowing, it's the exhaust wrap shite doing it. It's probably the reason it caught fire.

Do you think it's too late to win this Alpine?

I need to think of a winning answer to the question, "I favour Y-Front because...".

Google have analysed all the YouTube videos that I have watched and come to the conclusion that I am going to build a life size sex doll out of clay.

Red hot DP action.

I googled it and got nothing at all related to a Focus Downpipe.

I bet that Roy Walker or what ever his name was would have been well impressed with that meet.

Silly, but this made me chuckle this morning.

I've just had barmatt's Range Rover MOT'd and it has passed, no welding required. A couple of advisories for worn bushes but that's about it.

I shall now hoof it back to Norfolk, burning a few gallons of fuel and doing my bit for global warming.

Well, today I had no firm plans as such. But around midday I decided to head on up to the local town to buy a multi-memory card reader as mine recently broke. I came away from town with a full-length mac raincoat (90s) a boxset of Yes Minster/Prime Minster, The Inbetweeners and an original, OEM cover/case for my computer tablet, I also got my car valeted whilst in town.

I didn't manage to find the memory card reader but I'll pop down to where I bought my original one and see if they have one there.

Yes, would you like peas with that too. All the stuff I got was second-hand (cuz datz how I roll) coat, DVDs and tablet cover.

A man after my own heart/wallet. I can't remember the last time I paid more than a fiver for any item of clothing. Or for anything else, come to that...
