Thankee koindly zurrr, I suspect it's something I'll have to do "on the fly" over the weekend of collection. Not least because I'll only have the rental van until the Monday afternoon, lol. It's going to be fun* anyway.

I helped out a really fit girl who lives down the road last weekend as the battery on her late 90s Fiesta had died after she hadn't used it for a while.

I charged it up. Simples.

Today she appeared at the door with a couple of bottles of beer to thank me for fixing it, acting shy and giggly at seemingly everything I said.

She split up with her boyfriend a short while ago.

Interesting...

Nip round there and put a note through her door that you noticed a couple of things on her bodywork that could do with some attention............

Just won a used fitted kitchen on ebay! :) Now I have to figure out how you fit a kitchen, lol, especially when it's a fair bit bigger than the room it's going into. But that's ok, we wanted more cupboards....

Batons and brackets.

If you need a hand planning it, give me a shout

Our new kitchen units arrived with all the instructions in German. I didn't think this would be a problem because I have a Swiss friend who also speaks high German. However there was a problem as she had never heard of left handed dingbats, let alone in German.

All the bits take up far more space than when assembled in a kitchen so you will have to get the car out of the garage!

Finally getting round to finishing of my old vehicle freeads site,Illness stopped play....

Can anyone take a look, maybe post ad,spoof (will be eventually deleted obviously) or real.

Still setting up so their will probably be some glitches.

Any ideas as to categories or anything else welcomed.

Good start.

User a more clear font for the main header. Try and find some rusty-metal text or such-like? Maybe somebody on here could knock you something up - worth an ask.

And perhaps include some text to make it instantly obvious as to the intentions of the site.

'Old Car Classifieds' - something like that?

Yup. It looks a bit custom car orientated with the flame job. Good luck with it though. I recommend asking dealers if they want to advertise their stock to help fill it with ads. Especially those with p/ex clearances to shift.

The slightly rusty faux car badge that was used on the cover of Jalopy magazine kind of thing? Just a suggestion.

Good luck! Great idea BTW.

Just uploaded new logo, dont know if its final yet...?

May just be me, but its quite hard to read. Given that it is a site for old cars, I would be tempted to try a larger, plain text with embellishments. The 'rusty metal' text mentioned earlier sounds good.

Edit.. Can see that maybe a rusty metal logo may not appeal to sellers/advertisers though... The 'car badge' style still sounds like it may have possibilities.

Cant work Photoshop etc,Relying on cooltext which is limited.

Second bit does look fuzzt though...Thought it was just me.

Just done new chrome one,now to find background etc

Ignore header for now,job for morning.

Maybe just keep it simple. Possibly with a 'tongue in cheek' approach? Humour may be your friend here! Could be that a humorous but well presented website advertising old chod may catch on. USP and all that?

The 'Bargain Banger's gold-ish coloured header is dreadful, sorry. I found it really off putting, it needs to be in a darker and more readable font, imho. Good luck with it though, I love websites like that and I'll be happy to advertise the site for you here and there.

Bumped into a friend at the petrol station earlier. My 2CV (which I was sat in while I took this) and this delightful Freight-Rover. Proper rear-lights-in-the-bumper job.

Finally getting down to one complete, working car. I'm not thinking about the incomplete one 1000 miles away right now.

Discovering that the pressure gauge I'd used when pumping my tyres up was under-reading by about 15%. No wonder the ride quality was abysmal. Set them to sensible pressures and all of the sudden the car is almost comfy. Bonus. Might have to raise them 1psi each as the current settings feel very slightly low.

Finding a full set of new Pirelli P-Zeros for sale at reasonable money.

Oh, and

I bought an old wooden-slatted roofrack off my pikey neighbour ages ago for a tenner. I’ve just sold it to a dubber for £55!! MEGA-CHING!

Makes me grin that there is no mention of the 'horse meat' thing on here.

Horse meat is perfectly normal fodder* for most of Europe. The UK response being the usual OMGWEAREALLGOINGTODIE kind of thing.

Thank fook everyone on here is above that/doesn't care/is vegetarian etc!

Exactly.

The birds in the office at work were getting all sqealy about it... 'Oh, how awfull, I'd never forgive myself for eating horse' 'Its disgusting, I'd be sick' etcetc.

I just see it as a cheap upgrade as I'm fairly sure horse is fairly expensive.

I bet that Tescmorrisasdaburys will soon cotton on to this and start selling horse burgers, horse steaks and similar. Then the media will find traces of beef in them. OMG BEEF FOUND IN HORSEMEAT SCANDAL.

Watching some builders try and jump start a diesel transit using a length of 10mm twin and earth.

They spoted me watching and did not look impressed so I carried on walking only to hear the inevitable hopeless clack clack clack from behind me.
