...Green Lantern... one of my preferred superheroes, not least because his ring could conjure up stuff as and when he needed it...

That's a useful if unusual superpower...

8)

Think of him like Popeye, except when he needs to use his superpower he downs a litre of Syrup of Figs.

An attractive girl who works in the same lab as me asked me to give her a lift to the bus stop after work yesterday. That in it's self is enough to put a smile on my face, but when she sat in the Renault 25, she said - "Hey, what a coo, car! It's really retro"!! "No," I replied, "it's 20 years old!" She just laughed, and continued "It's really comfy too!" "I know, I love it." I said. "I can see why" She replied. I was smiling for the rest of the evening! Made my day it did! Never thought of it as a babe magnet, but who knows?

For the first time in about 8 years I actually have my entire DVD collection in one place. Haven't even attempted to count them but I guess there's about 500 (excluding the wallet, although I must point out that is not full of copied discs, as everyone knows that is illegal)

Does anyone else have OCD about getting them in order? Could just go purely alphabetical but I prefer to keep the films in series order. Now that's easy when you have something like the Saw or Fast & Furious franchises. But what about something like the Leone Dollar trilogy? That should go Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, The Good The Bad & The Ugly. But are they true sequels? And isn't GB&U generally accepted to be the prequel? Do the James Bond films get sorted under "B"? I filed the Romero Dead films under N, as Night came first. Now Night, Dawn, Day and Land are easy but again isn't Diary a prequel? Then Survival a sequel to that? Where do the Night, Dawn and Day remakes fit in?

Now I just need a darn big shelving unit..........

Storing DVDs alphabetically is piss easy.

Alisha's Anal Encounters, Big Boobed Nurses, Chloe Does Autoshite, etc!

Making me grin last night was a piss up/meal with my fellow union-istas and having only the second curry of my life. Jesus bloody wept, some of those starter things are mental. I don't know what I had but my gob was burning all bloody night. One of the lads ordered some spicy sort of thing and requested it was the hottest thing ever known or he'd want his money back, I tried one tiny bit on some narn bread and I swear to God my throat was on fire.

The West Memphis Three have been released after 18 years! This makes me incredibly happy

Some lad is coming from Birmingham to tow my no tax/MOT for sale car away down, what I presume, the motorway using only a towing bar and probably no insurance. BALLS = HUGE.

/\/\ Make sure there's a date AND TIME on that receipt!

'Plausible denial'...

I'm not gloating and I feel sorry for the bloke, but he was pulled over for not having insurance and the dvla had no record of the car (it had been off the road for 6 or 7 years). I'm not taking the moral high ground as I feel partly to blame, but I told him to trailer it or get it insured and a-framed. :(

Just met a young lad in a new dealer franchise, who knew about cars  Admitted he had swapped ends and had barrier contact in an RX8 recently... the salesman in the adjoining franchise was lusting over MG Maestro's in his SMAC (old Essex dealer group) days

The rest were "how much a month" nobbers you will be un-suprised to note.

So he's phoned up to tell you he's been stopped?

Yes, said it's not on the DVLA database. It's been off the road since 2004 or so.

He must've had it about half an hour. The car is likely to be crushed, poor thing. :(

Alvis looks amazing, it's like it was restored where it stood!

Simca will look nice though, hopefully not in green/orange.

I got a round of applause and a cheer from my 2 year old passenger for every car I overtook on the A303 this morning, while driving the transit - that's m'boy 8)

After the third one, he started pointing at the cars that needed to be overtaken...

Not sure if this is grin or grump, but here's a pic I recently found. I took it a few years back but thought I'd lost it.

The 40-year-old Crab smiles; the 5-year-old BINI frowns. Maybe the Crab knows something about why a so-called small car is as big as the model two sizes up, from an earlier generation. Nobody could ever accuse a Crab owner of being a fashion victim.

Looks like it's all over for Gadaffi. Since this is a British and French operation, the British can advise the rebels on going forward into Tripoli, and if it all goes wrong, the French are experts on retreat.

By the way, that Alex Crawford from Sky News would "Get it"

Is he still around? Haven't you deported him yet?

The wans over the border here might take him, he went down well in Dublin.
