The owner of this Renault 30 made me grin yesterday, I got chatting to him after he said he saw my photos of it a while back on flickr after i saw it at Crawley services after last years NEC Classic motor show.

 

He's had this since 1986 and so far has clocked up an amazing 311000 miles, on a Renault Automatic gearbox!, Quite a feat, He was showing me the photos of it in January's (i think) issue of Classic and Sportcar where it had a photoshoot for the magazine, He also owns a Renault 20!.

Seeing Pandamonium's Lada Riva travelling down the A127 earlier made me grin. Also, last night in the heavy rain I spotted a scened-up VW Type 2 coming towards me with one broken windscreen wiper that was wiping the front panel

They are legends. In 97, some of us went over for the TT. After much drinking, we were walking home in a stumbly fashion and the local fuzz pulled up in a panda car..... and gave us a lift home!!

Here's an Autoshite Top Tip: beware when taking already slightly tipsy women to the pub. They are unpredictable.
