As did buying a pile of records at Vinyl Villains.

Expand on this please

Pile is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but half a dosen certainly. Two Kraftwerk albums, bit of Duke Ellington, Art Tatum, Spike Milligan, The Goons and best of all... Hedgehog Sandwich!

I have no idea what a hedgehog sandwhich might be, but I fully approve of the other choices. I can't get to half of my music at the moment due to getting the huge delivery of C&SCs today... which definitely makes me grin

Best gig of the year (I know it's only February  ) which will take some beating - reunion of International Rescue at Bridlington. Still buzzing :):)

Sunday lunch today at a local restaurant called Grille Garage. The decor is all posters of old American autos, with quite a Mustang/Tri-Chevy bias, and one huge painting done specially for them, of a 56 Bel Air. Next time we're going in the Granada... :D

Just 10 eurocents bought me an hour's parking and this GR8 souvenir:

But made me a bit grumpy too... I just hope it was translated many years ago.

Project Debut perchance? If not, the feet are uncannily identical.

Indeed! Not a bad old machine that, nicely free of leccy parts with a nice solid belt, and no one else can figure out how to start it. Amp is only a Cambridge A1 but does the job nicely, hooked up to some Gale tower speakers. Virtual pint if you can name the LP sneaking into the corner of the shot

I can get a disgusting staff discount on Cambridge Audio stuff once a year if anyone needs anything.

My cat, Tigger, has broken into a cupboard and rescued half a bag of catnip drops.

Just returned from getting the paper, and he's lying on the kitchen floor, grinning and dribbling on himself. Completely off his tits.

How can this be legal?

More to the point, why can't we get man-nip?

I bought mine about 10 years ago on impulse as it was ex-display and I'd read a nice review of them - the 'manual' speed change can get a bit annoying, but I absolutely love it, none of my other gear is especially great so it's more than good enough. I usually pick up random pieces of stack that other people throw away, and keep them until they suffer one too many drink spillages... Not quite enough of a vinyl junkie to recognise the sleeve though. It's exactly the same shade of green as XTC's English Settlement album though, does that earn me half a pint?

Wat, let me know next time you venture out for some CA stuff, my speakers have finally given up.

It's not a case of venturing out Mr D, it's just an offer I can apply for at work.

Achievement.

Built these today, two of us dodging between showers. You can buy these carports new but why, when you can buy two used ones for the same price? That does tend to explain why they don't match, of course... Still, at least I now have somewhere at the new house to put my old cars.

We also built a secondhand shed, erected a secondhand fence, and cut down, poisoned and buried a bush. After all that I laid another coat of paint on the sliding door to the lounge, it can be re-hung in a day or two. All coming along rather well. (Famous last words...)

Yep, Trigger's avatar makes me grin as well - she is HOT! :D

Blinkered ignorance and stupidity is nothing new, is it?

Norm must be much older than he looks, eh?

Barrie, what? Huh? Am I gettin' jabbed? :?

Not by me, Norm.

The fact that the writers of those letters are American has been noted, and then dismissed as irrelevant. We have blinkered ignorance and stupidity here too - hence the existence of the BNP and the EDL.

Radio 2 and in particular Chris Tarrant. He's played some belting music the last couple of days, has precisely ten million percent better interview skills than Steve 'Gobshite' Wright and has been pretty entertaining.

Yeah he definately plays better music and is slightly less annoying than Steve Wright and his gang of twats.

'Wrighty's' singing over songs really pisses me off. I really don't know why he is so popular.
