I saved even more money by never taking notes.

Just got one of these for the long-haired CO:

Forgive my ludditeness, but what exactly is that thing? I quite like the look of it, and looks good value too - I might ask Santa to get me one.

It's a Samsung ePC - a sort of mini laptop running a basic version of Windows and internet ready. A lad on my course at Uni has one and I'm quite impressed with it. The battery seems to last an age compared to the lumbering pile of wank currently powering my laptop.

In fact, yours is identical to my mate's in all but colour. Wait, that sounds SO wrong. His was about £200 nearly new.

I might get one as a riposte to the rich kid MacBook Pro mafia that seem to be everywhere at Uni these days. 'I'm so skint' one of them says, 'I've spent £1100 on a MacBook' (the same girl has a fully loaded '10 plate Qashqai).

Fuck me, that's an expensive way of taking notes in a lecture. My method costs me about £2.30 a time (with fags and pen) and I get to spend a bit of my loan on a bished Dutch fusebox to smoke about in.

Where did you get your tartan tablecloth?

I'll tell you what, this 'softly exotic' asda own brand turkish delight choccy bar is causing me to nomnomnom uncontrolably at the mo. can't see this lasting much longer than an hour, if I pace myself

Tartan tablecloth is in fact a £4 from a petrol station car rug, on the bed in my spare room.

That wee netbook will spell the end of my sex life. She was still sitting up in bed surfing the internet when I fell asleep last night.

Idly surfing the interweb this evening I have a look at HHV Ferry as apart from old cars I 'do' old ships and ferries too. Pleasing to see that this old Autoshite thread gets a mention.

Spent a pleasant few minutes rereading stuff from two and a half years ago and also made me wonder, where IS RegieRitmo these days?

I have him on my facebook still, I think he's got himself a hooked up these days, She's notability made him sell his R14 and banned him from Autoshite.

Pretending I'm Antonio Carluccio when cooking pasta... "and in comes da good oliv'oil" etc.

Glass of sherry I consumed made me grin a bit too.

I think we need to see this, Michiel. A Dutchman impersonating an Italian speaking Engleesh. Youtube it for us :)

Students.

Had the pleasure of watching the shouty youth of today placard-waving their way down Whitehall during my lunchbreak (my current site is off Whitehall).

What they did next is very encouraging.

Not if you're friggin' stuck in the traffic 'cos half of central London has been closed because of it :x

Nor was it funny when it's your open top bus parked across Mill Bank right in front of thousands of disgruntled students. Mild shitting of oneself and a quick extraction of said bus out of London. Phew!

That's not her bush... she's ginger!

I am happy tonight because I found www.free-scores.com where you can download all sorts of free sheet music, some easy, some fiendish. This is gr8 fun, and is helping me pass the long winter evenings (and annoy my missus - although i think most of the complaining is put on)

I have stopped for the night because I have sore fingertips.

I can has job!

Got a sales post for a high end audio maker. First "proper" interview I've had in a long time but somehow despite me being shy and utterly lacking in confidence I actually did alright and was offered it a few hours later. It's only until the new year though, but that will give me the opportunity to look for work in Plymouth whilst having the cash for a house deposit. More importantly it's well paid by my standards so that of course will mean new shite time and I will have more to choose from - yay!

My Dad has been talking about how I could get a nice sensible 1.4 Focus - boo!

I had a Princess 2200HLS for a while- UAW6S. It was a lovely car but it didn't half drink fuel, I don't think I ever cracked 10mpg.
