Imogen Heap.

Just come from her gig at The Sage.

A very clever musician but mad as a hatter - in a nice way.

Looks pretty good too :) except she hides behind the messiest hairdo ever.

I had hoped she would do one or both of these:

Not to be but she was damned good anyway.

Also: Took Laura's SAAB as she had nicked mine as she's moving out. Much more fun then my C5 :)

Hey this is a BL thread and thats a Vauxhall Victor.

It's my thread, I started it and I'll do what I want!

So did Charlotte the spider. Look what happened to her.

This, because it has me listening to early Iron Maiden, rather than reading EB White.

Turning up at the machine shop (Ian Myers near York) in the Cavalier to have the owner enthuse about it as a "proper car", and then go on to say "You've got some old stuff! We can have that sorted for you no problems" When I produce the Imp head form the boot for them to skim. Then there's the machine shop itself - cluttered, full of bits, heads, blocks, and machines. I pick the head up Friday.

Bought a rear parcel shelf with OE Nissan speakers for the Micra a few days ago. I thought I'd have to run some wires throught the car car to get the speakers working seeing as mines a pretty much pov-spec model, whilst rummaging through the boot I found a rear-speaker connector cable I wasnt expecting, connected up speakers :D

Also fitted a few bits of trim, might go back in a few days for more bits.

Sent off some job applications to some local delivery driver jobs. Not exactly the type of thing you went through A levels and uni for, but I honestly have no idea what to do career wise (something my parents love bringing up on a weekly basis). That and my Dad had a house, mortgage and were planning for me when I was his age................

Still at least when I find a job I can get some new shite

Ive just spent the last 20 mins playing "Remember you're a womble" on the mandolin while waiting for my pizza to cook. I feel much better now :D

Actually meant to post that in the Grumpy Old Man Thread...........

The NUJ strike. This morning was some of the best output I have heard in years on BBC Radio 4 and 5.

R5 - from 1 am - a look back at the Beijing Olympics with housewives fave John Inverdale, followed by a bio of some mad boxer from a hundred years ago callled Johnston who liked teenage prozzies (Hirst?) Therefore, no "intersting" phone in (zzzzz) with Dotun Adebayo, STUPIDLY LOUD adverts for upcoming football matches, no Nicky Campbell or the the former wife of Mr Magoo (Adrian Chiles ex bird, forget her name) giggling or losing the plot.

Radio 4 - This morning, 2 programs about bird life near The Wash, with Great Lives with Matthew Parris on Churchill in betweeen the 2. So, no Toady (Sic) Programme with John Humphrys' voice fluctuating between 185dB and a whisper, and none of that swivel-eyed mong off Dragon's Den either.

Let 'em strike, I say!

I'm now off to listen to Desert Island Discs.
