About 12 miles from Stondon yesterday I came across a house with a decent sized garden with at least four Maestros in various states of disrepair in it.

Someone is living the dream it seems.

Is that the house a few miles after leaving the M1 at Junct 13, on the A507, on the left? Think there's also a Metro an possibly a Montego as well.

As you say, living the dream......

Look carefully and you'll find some assorted Marinas in the undergrowth at that place too...

Yeh thats the place. Only got a quick enough look to clock the Maestros although there did appear to be others.

Theres something hidden away in the undergrowth opposite that place too - only saw it out of the corner of my eye so haven't got a clue what it is.

Putting "omg, garden full of tat" into google maps brings up Manchester United as the first result.

No it doesn't. I got some crap about something called "Usher", which I believe is in Middlesex.

I know it shouldn't, but this made me giggle

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll look out for it in the local paper - Boston Spa's about 3 miles away!

I've just seen the news report for this - the guy used his redundancy money to build his business, then was a bit of a philanthropist who gave away £23 million to charities. The accident happened near one of my frequent dog-walks, about half an hour's walk from the house.

It actually cracked me up.... I was already sniggering at the irony of the owner of the segway company going over a cliff on one when I got to this line

world-leading manufacturer of protective barriers...

which had me on the floor in tears for about 5 minutes.

I'd be grinning if I wasn't tired but its rather nice that all of family_Seth are sleeping under the same roof tonight for the first time in two weeks. :D

Finally getting some money I was owed from the lazy bastards at the Job Centre or whatever they are calling it this week.

£520 so that's a bit of gas/electric, road tax, food paid for. :)

My local Asda at 9.30pm

I went in last week with the intention of stocking up on grub to keep me going for the next week. I'm a vegetarian and don't really eat what you would call processed stuff (without the usual attachment of being fucking anal about it though), so just really eat noodles and pasta.

I came across a corner of the shop which had all the perishables which hadn't sold in the day and managed to spend a grand £2 on shopping which lasted about five days. I made a butty with a 5p baguette (of which I bought six of) and tomatos that I grew in my garden. GR8 4 when you're totally skintz.

It's amazing what bargains can be had if you're 'at the end of the day' when it comes to shopping. Last week, my wife came home with an entire wooden tray of strawberries (eight punnets) for £1, ten peaches for £1.50, 3 leeks for £1 and a daft amount of tomatoes for £1. All because she was the last person shopping at the market.

Cheap eatz r gr8.

Asda is GR12 for cheapness at random though, I went in last week and bought 2lb of mince and 6 pork loins for £3. They were each marked at £4, so didn't like to argue.

Oh and GR800 news for the Seth_Family. Wishing Ickle_Seth a full & speedy recovery. :)
