What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Article says their yugo has a 1.1 fiat engine - all the ones I remember dealing with had a yugoslavian built copy of the old 903cc pushrod lump. Yank market different?

My grin is that today I drove a car that has spent the last 6 months in bits. YAY.

I'm not sure, did we not get the decadent Yugo 55 here? I think that's a 1.1, the 45 being the pushrod mill.

From what I've seen of the car I think its had an overzealous mot tester. Time will tell though. Checked history online anyway

I think I remember a Yugo 65 with a wild rip snorting 1.3!

Only for the chosen few.

Yep, 45A was 903cc, 55A was 1116 and 65A was 1301.  The 65A was actually a bloody nippy little car, and usually came with a suitably tasteless bodykit as an added bonus.

Shit I missed the bit that said bub had only paid £25 for that Fiesta. I'll offer you a 100% mark up right now £50 :-)

No thanks mate! I cant afford to insure large cars and that's why picasso has to go and decision made on Vectra since having my own house. Priorities and all. Hope to have this on the road for as little as possible.

Our mate who was first to pass his test had an s reg 1.2 of these. My god it was a grim car in many ways (although I wasnt a shiter so much back then, talking 17/18 here.

So many happy memories though, and it should be bullet proof. For £50, if 8t lasts you a month its probably cheaper than a bus ticket every day.

Pics of the ford fleet soon then?

Only paid 25 for car, needs 35 on parts so far before mot and a thorough check over. Pics can be arranged.

Saw a Euro Car Parts van yesterday with the slogan 'EVERY PART FOR EVERY CAR'.  It was a Peugeot Bipper, so clearly there was no room for the second bit: '...BUT NOT THE PART YOU ORDERED.'

I'm here all week.

Neat little homage to the WINDSLAMMER with the skateboard bolted to the roof.  I'm cool* and hip* enough to have an actual real WINDSLAMMER.

I forgot you had one. You are a winner. Im looking out for one. Would be class on the 75 when towing the 1987 Adria.

Finally something for free from a main dealer!

The Honda Accord has been recalled for a potential airbag defect. Free fix.

I am willing to bet that it comes back with some random 'jobs that need doing soon' though...

Blackpool Honda innit!

I saw someone towing a Rolls Royce Silver Spirit on a trailer behind a Frontera on the M40 today. It was snaking like a bastard at 40mph and made my stomach churn just thinking about it!!!! Luckily I was able to drive past it and think about summert else.

I made a film of it on my phone but don't know how to get it somewhere where I can share it.

You know when you buy a car and he seller has "lost/misplaced" the history and will send it on if they find it ... We all know the car has no history and they will never find it.

The Volvo I recently bought came with a box file full of history and no such words from the seller.  Today I got a fat hand written envelope in the post, which is not a common thing these days, so I curiously opened it:

Yes, more history for the Volvo file.
