Had to deliver something to my Aunt's place 150 miles away - said item wouldn't fit in big but shallow Rover 75 boot, so epic 300-mile trip in ye olde P6B.

WCPGW?

Nothing at all. The car performed flawlessly all the way there and back, even with the 1970s air conditioner yammering away for 5 hours solid.

A tribute to Nelson's finest, and the NZ motor industry in general.

That reminds me I really need to dig mine out and get it in for its mot!

Just bought a hose (collapsible thing) and an adaptor to fit on the kitchen tap for £9 from Amazon! It is 75 feet long so that will stretch out to the street and piss the neighbours off!

Guy I know who works in a German Sausage factory was just loading pork into the machine when a seabird got all caught up in the works.

Things took a Tern for the Wurst.

Bloke just asked if I'd swap his vegetable for my old set of encyclopaedias.

That was a turnip for the books.

It is!

Rock salt mines are really dry and cold and tend to be giant so they use them for the storing of all kinds of stuff especially documents and books.

Just read the PC article about the guy who built a campervan around an Austin Ambassador. Aside from the monumental awfulness of the whole thing, I'm not sure what's funnier, the shot of him proudly holding up the scale model, or the barometer stuck in the dash.

We get PC at work. It is a good read.

I read that in Sainsbury's. Its pretty impressive despite its horrendous looks. Fair play to the old fruitcake

Got taken for a spin in Chompy's Daihatsu Applause earlier and it's ACE.

The black one looks like a MK 1 Granada Coupe from that angle.

Roughly, enough that I can hollow it out and live inside.

The situation is improved by this being outside!

House move gone great. Trouble was receiving keys on same day of having to depart shared house so massive rush. No signal there so cant get online much. Free washer, bed, sofa, wardrobes and fridge freezer helped alot as well as someone buying carpets for lounge and bedroom. Managed to buy a cheap cooker too. Having van with large roof rack and trailer helped massively.

I drove past an Impreza with a bombing-run WW2 style airbrushing, it looked stupid.

Also I went to the Reno/Dacia dealer (to book a test drive for my buddy to drive the Twingo) Inside was 3,000,000 old people asking about Dacias, it was as if a coach had dropped them off.

Giffer spec Dacicas going cheap in 10 years time.

Can't wait.

I did sit inside one. You could tell it's a cheap car, the interior isn't the nicest place to be.

There's a Dacia Logan estate that parks up the road. It looks properly awful! I've seen quite a few new Dacias and quite like them but the styling of the rear of this Logan thing is 'orrible! Also, it's a sort of primer grey colour without a shine.

Actually, I've seen quite a few new Dacias that look like they need a good polish. Is there something wrong with the paint on them?

Possibly........

"Dacia Duster Statement

Dacia email

19 August 2014

Dear Dacia Duster Owner,

In a previous message on Dacia.co.uk we said that we were aware of a limited number of Dacia Dusters that can have potential paintwork issues. This issue is exclusive to right hand drive Dusters and was unique to the initial production phase for the UK.

On a limited number of initial production phase Dusters delivered between January 2013 and August 2014, it has been found that an inconsistency in the process of painting the bodywork may cause some surface corrosion to appear on certain panel edges – for example, inside a door frame or on the inside of the bonnet. This issue in no way affects the daily operation of the vehicle."

So maybe something else going on with Dacia paintwork..

Funny you say that, there is a new Duster locally thats paint is flatter than Holland. I just think that owners down look after them as they seem ok in the showroom.

I well up for a Duster or a Sandero in a few years. White, no radio and black bumpers.

The paint on this was flatter than a witches tit before I got my hands on it
