What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Tonight, 3 of my 4 Open Uni results for the last year have come through - all passed. The 4th is going to be a fail - bastard hard maths, beyond the level that I need but the only maths course I could start in February - but am now doing the correct maths course so it's in hand. Just the Maths to go and it's degree time!

What made me grin? Setting off to work in my Granada this afternoon (OK, technically yesterday afternoon, I know...) and finding a mk2 Granada following me! :D

^^^^^^^^^ Eddie, After what you have been through, I would think that just setting out for work would make you smile :D

The arrival of a juicy cheque from a PPi claim from a loan I had 10 years ago. I should spend it on something sensible but it'll probably end up getting spent on existing shite or new shite.

You're not wrong there! You won't find many people so pleased to be working 33 hours a week in a bakery for minimum wage, especially given my outdoor proclivities.

I was startled by the moonlit tonight too, absolutely fantastic stuff!

Also, I had girls in my car. They *asked* for a lift and nattered away like anything all the way to the pub. If I weren't a big flaming gay it could've been exciting.

I went out to feed the rabbits tonight and noticed the clear star-filled brightly moonlit sky too. An airliner was making its way across the sky at high altitude and its vapour trails were lit up by the eerily bright moonlight. Absolutely beautiful.

Hey Ian, you've caught the frost on the bonnet well in that pic 8)

The moon is tip-top tonight as has been mentioned - as is Jupiter, just to its left. :D

just been out to lock the car - its like daylight out there, but car windows are already iced up

For the first time ever I took a photo of the moon tonight, it's not great but for a little Fuji bridge camera it's not too bad at all. Venus was quite nearby but it hasn't registered unfortunately.

I've just gone outside to take a look, it's stunning isn't it, I didn't know that was Venus right beside it, there's another star just below as well.

Hey, me too. My photo looks very similar, we must have been looking at the same moon.

I was out on the bike last night and the moon was absolutely stunning, and bright enough to make pothole avoidance a whole lot easier. I rode happily for a couple of hours then nearly had a tumble (at low speed, thankfully) on the gravel outside my house

I didn't actually fall, but the effort required to stay upright, unclip and get a foot down seems to have left me feeling distinctly second-hand this morning.

Also making me grin, I have an interview this afternoon for a job I really fancy the sound of :D

Can anybody date these?

Found in the glove box of a trade in. There was another packet with a 2006 best before date (and more modern graphics). Interestingly, the P/X was a 57 plate.

I reckon that will be from around 1980 or a bit before. I can remember Mars Bars being 15p in 1983.

I was thinking mid '80s, just because of the bar code. Polos were 20p for what seemed like ages in the early 90s... When I was 9 I could either buy Auto Express or two and a half packets of Polos with my 50p pocket money.

More importantly, have you tried one yet?

I'm saving that for the next time I want to loose weight very rapidly.
