What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Looks a nice bit of kit - Once you run a set of proper hydraulic disk brakes you won't be able to go back to anything else, they're fupping amazing. It's dead satisfying hearing water boil when it splashes on the disks after you've been riding hard. After you've done about 15 miles they'll be a lot better too.

What forks are they? if they are air ones, there's absolutely loads to be gained by setting the pressure to suit your weight. Don't try and do it with a normal bike pump though, use a proper shock pump or a compressor with a regulator. I made the mistake of letting 15PSI out of my forks before I tackled dalby forest on the weekend and it made a huge difference.

Cheers, sadly I don't think they're air type, there is a small dial on the top of the left hand fork which I assumes adjusts the settings slightly and there's also a handlebar mounted lock out switch which will be useful.

About 10 years ago I used to work with a woman who when she was a teenager was a regular in the audience on TOTP. She told me about various rumours and what went on, she had been 'groomed' lets say but had the sense to make sure she was never alone with a certain presenter.

Seems inappropriate in the grin thread.

Finding a picture like this from 1971:

A bit of inspiration for mr Bickle's Bellel perhaps?

Which is currently sitting in Brittany -unloaded from a damaged container ship. I'm 'told' its undamaged -but the other 2 in my container were...

Anyway --here's a happier pic of its collection back in the summer.

Dont you just love the length of the trailer?

Posted

Ai, hope it really is undamaged... what are the other two?

That is an incredibly long trailer, great for countries with straight roads only I guess...

No idea mate. It was a shared container -I only had a small % of the space. There seems to be a massive dearth of useful info; which never bodes well.

Now we're arguing about the remainder of its journey. I want them to pay me to go fetch with a trailer -but they want to put it in another container -ship it to Germany, reload again to ship here.

My mistake -I paid too little, but this is a pain. Pressing for current photos.

I misunderstood - 'my container' doesn't mean everything in it is yours... whoops.

Good luck with the whole thing.

I would so love to come across this beauty parked in a darkened street with a day glow pink sharpie in my pocket and see how long I could resist the temptation to add a p to the bonnet script.

Individual and original my arrrrrrrze.

Erm, doing that sort of thing with the degree of professionalism that has been used there is surely against the whole ethos of rat look?

And the reason why I am in this thread: PRINTERSHITE

After two weeks of shuffling its feet and being deliberately being awkward the HP 5100 laserprinter I bought on the bay has at last agreed to print a3 from my OS9 Mac as well as the pcs. And very nicely it does it too.

Does anyone want a QMS 2060 which needs a new toner cartridge for free? (New cartridge is about 95 quid)

Pleased to see that new Red Dwarf is watchable. It was never going to be great but it's not bad and much better than series 8&9.

Not sure I can bring myself to watch anything after Series 5. People beg and plead for there to be another series of Spaced - one of the best TV comedies of all time. However, I'm increasingly glad that there are only two. Sometimes it's best to quit while you're ahead. See also Fawlty Towers and Black Books for this. The only comedy that seems to have go away with being made forever is Dad's Army. I genuinely have no idea how many of those were made, but it must be at least eleventy hundred.
