Is there a new Olympic sport - the 100m bottle throw?

Interesting take on that story, with sadly typical Daily Mail OMG LUZER bias. When you get down into the detail, you find that they were under no obligation to work for free, but that wasn't made clear to them at the time. I certainly don't agree with free labour for a few large organisations. It's a typical Tory "all benefit claiments are evil" approach, because they haven't got a clue what it's like to be unemployed. The government claim it's "valuable work experience." Rubbish. It's free labour for large companies.

Of course, Labour didn't help matters in this girl's case. By shoving as many people as possible through Uni, they got the unemployment figures down, and when these people all suddenly found themselves qualified but with not enough jobs to go around, that's the ConDebs problem! Fuggin' politics.

Sadly then I've done a typical DM* reader thing and just read the bit about her trying to sue the government for slave labour.

*Other papers (probably all of them) apply too.

Getting one over on ebay twunt.

I won an auction for some wheels (with tyres, which I'm not fussed about) for £63, I sent a polite ebay message saying I'd like to pick up on the following monday, could do evening or daytime and would bring cash with me.

Over the course of various messages on the past couple of weeks..

70 sheet or no deal

you can't collect them then

you can collect them then

I'm now on holiday, it needs to be next week.

Yes, come down in the evening

No you can't collect in the evening, they're at work

And finally this morning

soz wheels not for sale as ive bought a bmw and will put them on that

I replied asking him if he thought I wouldn't notice that he'd relisted them with a £110 BIN.

theyre my uncles wheels he wont take less than £85 i made a mistake on the listing

So I turned up at his work this afternoon with several prepared lines of bullshit but fully expecting to leave with £63 in my pocket and no wheels.

Turns out he was on holiday, his boss didn't seem to bat an eyelid about the twunt sending me in there when he wasn't there, but upon showing the ebay listing on my phone(but not the messages) and handing over the £63 I left with the wheels.

Quickly.

The ebay twunt seems to have accepted this ("ok np cheers") and had even left me positive feedback apologising for not seeling the wheels (which was left before I collected them).
