I dunno what makes me happier Hudsonpie - the work situation, the Daughters report, the MG or the Solara. But thanks for sharing, good to see somebody enjoying some good fortune (and sharing a Solara of course!)

A college friend just bought a new car as a project. Bare in mind his everyday car is Halfords special Corsa B. Any ideas? Nope, youre wrong. Him and his dad have just bought a MKIV Zodiac, ffs. Its a beauty too.

Finding work after a year of unemployment.....£10.25 an hour to sit on my arse......getting back on line after my old computer bought the farm back in April.....I have missed Autoshite greatly....buying an 02 MG ZR.....bear with me....an MG ZR, 69,000 miles with full history. The HG was done by me three years ago....properly. Its been garaged all its life and had one owner, I gave five hundred quid for it and am pleased as punch.... :) My little girl got a glowing school report, I love you Piper....

Have a Solara....

+1.

Excellent news all round there Hudsonpie, congratulations.

I thought looking at the picture and body of text you had just bought a Solara... Frankly, i'm disappointed in you.

Welcome back, good to hear such good news to offset all the grumps round here!

Oh yeh forgot to mention this: The other day I saw a D21/Hardbody Nissan pickup with a camper body on it, pretty rare so I took a photo. Turns out it hasnt been taxed for 12 years because no one told the DVLA its had a change of owner. Whoooooops. How on earth have they managed to evade the system for so long!

Oh yeh also, Hudsonpie welcome back! I wondered where you had got to. Great spot there too.

welcome back Hudsonpie but that posy would have been so much better if you had actually bought the Solara...

Saw my old Peugeot 206 GTi that I sold last September(ish) literally a minute's walk from my mate's house in Norwich! Looks like it's owned by someone there so I have the satisfaction of seeing it every time I'm down there :D

Will probs leave a note on the windscreen though

Mrs RP has decided I need another project and has purchased a 64 Imp

Blimey! Lucky man. The only projects my missus arranges for me start with a trip to B&Q.

Went to a funeral yesterday. Not normally something to make me smile. But the hearse was a Chrysler 300C. With Bentley badges on the front. Amused me a bit if nothing else.

Until I got to the bit about Bentley badges I had a picture of a '55 Chrysler hearse in my mind.

Sorted my car out - all lights now work / changed wheels / new number plates and two goes at cleaning the inside have stopped it smelling of the previous owners fags.

Feeling the Corsa love here.

Today I mostly enjoyed having the windows down in ths shite-mobile, whilst singing along to Guns N Roses and clocking all the quality flange the nice weather seems to bring out.

That was directed AT me by someone on here.

I got a new instrument in the post today :) so while resting between shifts fixing the LT I played the mandolin, and had fun. Sometimes it's the little things...

Nice, and that video is so much better than the shit MTV put on (in the five minutes a day they actually show music videos)!
