"You let the mayor go, we'll even throw in a Blaupunkt!"

Came to about £8 all-in with postage. Well chuffed, proves you can still get the odd bargain off there. It's going in the new Vicsmith/Hirst Duo company car. By new, I mean "qualifies for scrappage". Luxury! Just hope it all works and I can figure out the correct leads for it, etc.

Leads will be easy. Have you got the code for it?
Posted

No code, but I dug up some free software to calculate it so I should be alright. If not, another fiver should see it right.

Splendid. I'd have thought that would be just standard ISO plug fittings, so should be a piece of the proverbial to fit to most stuff.

Wait! Theres software that sorts radio codes??

Whats pleased me today? (other than all the cats on this thread which is GR9) Jobs that are easier than you expect.Needed to put a new battery on the Sprinter. Given its nine years old and on it original battery I was expecting a load of arseache with seized securing bolts and whatnot. But no hassle at all. Everything came apart and back together and job done inside ten minutes. Happy days!

A bit late but glad the cat is ok, trigger.

This one is just a tool specific to Blaupunkt units of a certain age, gives the code based on the serial number of the radio. Dunno about owt else.

Gompo, I think yours is the cutest cat here so far....

here's Nipper, complete with his semi-permanant cone.....he's got an allergy to dust and scratches himself to buggery without it. He's also too lazy to wish other cats well.

My other cat is too lazy to even come out and have his picture taken...

Wait! Theres software that sorts radio codes??

Yes. Not all makes can be done but quite a few are calculated from serial number. I can email you a copy if you want.

That sounds easier than dropping it in the freezer overnight.

That NEVER worked for me! Ive no need for any code cracking atm but its worth knowing all is not lost if I come across any nice head units.

My newshite has a 10 disc autochanger that is coded and the battery is totally flat! Looks like I'll be paying to have that decoded.... :(

The one I've got definitely does Ford and Volvo. It claims to do Blaupunkt, Clarion, Becker and a few others but I've never had a chance to try.

Squeaky. Visits several times a day. Missing his partner in crime who succumbed to kidney failure last year

Ooh thats spooky, I had to double check that wasnt my Bob!

(Who incidently has been packed off to a mates cos tommorow is moving day)

Liking the autoshite version of lolcatz! :D

If you like unsigned music and sticking two fingers up to the bloated music industry and all that reality pop-shite, www.xrpradio.com is well worth a visit. Some chums in Brum play unsigned acts on their digital radio station. It's quite amateur but refreshingly so! Had a lovely chill-out session earlier.

It deserves success so if you know folk in bands who want some free air-time, get 'em to follow the link.

Cats rock, we have one that visits regularly, and weve got quite attatched to him, but he has gone missing. His actual owners are gutted as they got him for their little girl.... Come back Alfie...theres a tasty tin of tuna in the cupboard....

Sadly a lot of cats are too trusting. We've had 3 cats which have been quite attached to us in the last few years and 2 disappeared :(
The cat has been found, he was run over on the main road through our village and some kind soul took him to the vet....his owners are well chuffed....not so chuffed at the $300 bill....but chuffed all the same. Thier little girl is made up...it was really nice to see and made my day....would like to set fire to the twat who ran him over and did'nt stop.... I know there are some cat lovers on here.... :) LOL at Hirst....Catshite.com....

How can we acquire this Radio Code Software wise people ?

I download the program a few years ago from this link, It works well for the Ford stereo decoders and i decoded a old 306 stereo i had with this as well, I couldn't work out how to use the other codes. Your better having a play and working it out yourself.http://www.floodle.net/extra/ebayinfo/c ... ecode.html

Shortly after my earlier post in grumpy thread,

Dear members of the public,Please don't be surprised if you get a filthy look from me when you say things like:You're jobs boring innit mate?orNice job you got there mate!I am well aware how shit my current employment is, I don't need a fucking gorilla reminding me.Still, on a lighter note, I will be leaving soon to teach English to foreign students full time, so hopefully I can spend a few months each year out of this zoo of a country.

I handed in my notice on a bit of a whim. :D Decided enough is enough, just hope other jobs work out ok!Gonna be poorer, might have to sell a motor, but I know Ill be a lot happier.

Resigning on a whim is great. More people should do it. It's one of the reasons I don't want kids. If I quit my job, only my cars will starve! If my wife also quits, we're done for though...

My cats constantly provide me with mirth. As I write I have a new bookcase waiting to be filled up next to me and one of them has been running round in circles on the shelves chasing his tail like an idiot. Mind you it's good to see he's on good form after being bitten on the arse the other week. He had a big abcess which needed sorting. Course I nearly fainted like a twat when the pretty vet was getting rid of it off him

They should. Too many people are stuck in jobs they hate because of 'the fear'. I did it years ago, was a bit frightening initially as I didn't really have a plan but it worked out ok I guess.

Chocolate mouse. He / she’d been eating the chocolate and biscuit base but leaving the marsh mellow filling.

Bought a humane trap which comes baited with peanut butter. Left in the garage - nothing. Placed one teacake in the trap and the trap in the teacake packaging. Hey presto one house mouse!

I’ll be releasing him on the fields at work in the morning and he can run the gauntlet with the local buzzards. Then again a nice cosy drawer of a manager's desk may be in order
