Emily/Fluff: Adorable! Is there anything better than kittens?

On the subject of cat pictures, I heard the sound of a cat trying to climb through a closed window, and found this helplessly dangling from the frame:

Caught the last half of the Morecambe & Wise Sweeney episode. I thought I was on drugs.

Me too,it sure is a strange one

They were right to can The Sweeney when they did, the fourth series is very patchy. I seem to remember the Diana Dors episode as being a bit of a low point.

PUPPIES!I've had a fair few cats. 9 in one house at one point, and they're nice but once they're past kitten stage then they're pretty much boring..... do their own thing, barely give you any attention, just want feeding. They're like teenagers.Dogs though, they're just as cute when they're little but then they stay faithful, they appreciate walks in the woods, they have constantly waggy tails and they scare the shit out of the postman. All plus points.

Ahh, should have explained sorry: Emily/Fluff are one and the same, can't decide what's the best name for her between us!

Edit: ah, what the heck, here's the others...!

Still difficult to tell them apart, aside from Fluff. Two others have slightly longer hair though but all are almost exactly the same colour wise in that they're all black with a hint of tabby.

Two or three managed to chew through my internet cable the other night and most like climbing on the rabbits cages to wind them up.

Completely and utterly fearless, even our oldest cat (who's hard as nails) doesn't phaze them one bit!

They look disturbingly like Gremilns!! Completely adorable though.

Er...... I know you're all thinking it, but dare I actually say it? Oh, wtf, there's nothing as nice as cute young pussy, right?!

Lolzers!I like dogs too but it's no use us having one at the moment as it wouldn't be fair on it.I love how cats are independant and treat the house as some sort of motel or something and all ours have their own personalities. The old one is a bit of a nark but a very settled cat and will roll on it's back and purr all day long. The farm rescue cat was two yesterday and is the nicest natured cat I've ever know but hates being picked up.The twins are about 13 months old and still lie curled round each other though Dave is a nut case and his sister is a bloody scavenger, often coming back with bits of pizza, chips, jacket pottatoes and her favourite, bread crusts!

Cavette , thats why I love cats , they only stay because they want to , if they arnt happy they bugger off and find somewhere else to go , you own Dogs , you never really own a cat

Last one, alas, I can confirm was wokked. Sorry - no really, I did feel awful but we were guests and the host was distinctly underworld.

This made me grin, in an immature kind of a way.

Lousey Bush Lane?*goes to Google Maps*Hmmm. I can find Cortworth Lane (S62 7SB) but nothing off it. Pooo :(*edit* Aha! Those reliable OS people tell me that the little lane running off to the south is in fact Lousy Bush Lane, leading to Lousy Bush.

I have eaten dog in the Philippines, quite liked it really, not tried cat though. (Apologies for those that may be offended)

WTF?? You telling me that having a dog beaten to death (cos the fear and pain makes it more tender so they think) so you can sample the 'delicacy' MAKES YOU SMILE?? Don't get me wrong, I am no vegetarian, but food animals should at least have an appropriate lifestyle before it's HUMANELY destroyed FFS!
Posted

Did you watch? Seriously, the majority of cultures who have 'delicacies' like dog have no regard for animal welfare. As I said I am no vegetarian, I do eat meat but but I wouldn't starve if I don't eat veal, and the same goes for dog or cat, or monkeys. Yes I know you were talking about the Philippines, I am talking about the difference between needing to eat food and going out of your way to find something you don't need to eat....

I guess you don't buy the 2 for £7 chickens down the supermarket then Fred, or eat generic sausages or burgers etc...

I will clarfiy, the situation in which I found my self eating the aforementioned was during a visit with my wife's uncle to a village in the biggest rubbish dump in Manila.

He runs a healthcare and immunisation program for these people and I went with him on his visits.

When you visit Philippino families you have to eat with them, it is considered an insult if you don't. This one family offered us food so we ate. The little kids (about 5 or 6 of them) ran round me shouting "Americano, Americano pagkain si aso" or "The american is eating dog" it still makes me smile now. These people live in tin huts with rags on their back searching through rubbish to make money and find food (mainly eating feral animals they catch) but are offended if you do not eat with them a very humbling experience.

The family in question with their 'car'

I do try and buy free range stuff when i can afford it , Never had Turkey for crimbo for example , my mate shoots me a couple of Pheasants / wood pidgeon / duck or whatever is unlucky enough to fly by when his guns out , least it had a good life before its demise , even had a seagull once through him , very nice

Posted

What was the seagull like? Game? Like I said I have no objection to eating anything that's had a fair life, and if I was starving I would eat anything, I am the least picky person I know. Akron if that was all your hosts had to eat then fine, I won't argue with that. Pog I do buy the cheapo chickens, if they are in the reduced section. Better they at least get eaten than they end up in the bin, that would be the final insult, to have lived in a wire box then just get chucked in the landfill. I don't go out of my way to buy them though.

Never tried seagull wan't offered it, plenty of monkeys and lizards knocking about though.

Hoping to get this off the current topic......tonight I bought a car in the dark, on a farmyard and it was covered in cow shit.Lord alone knows what the true state of it is (I'll find out tomorrow in the light  ) but random acts of car purchases always make me smile!

Had a proper good day today, and i enjoy the rain whilst being inside. Also, got offered a garage, 32.50 a month, and near my college. Chuffed.

Nice one mate, sounds like a good deal for a garage - all you need is suitable tat to store inside it!

I shall endeavour to grab some L8ER. It's top draw shite though, povo spec Corsa dieseasel with keep fit steering and eons of cow shit adorning the paintwork. Also, unless very much mistaken, someone has sprayed a couple of interior plastic parts blue which should add to the shite effect.Plan on doubling it's value by going to a car wash in it as I can't be arsed cleaning it myself in this weather.

Sounds like you need to do the pics like you bought it, in the dark
